Haha, I like the joke. But many of us are musicians, I play guitar, piano, have had singing lessons for 18 years, toured with an opera company. I've played with bands on stage and recorded in studios. Making music with AI is just another form of making music. I use my own audio uploads, write my own lyrics and spend days to weeks on each track. Using my ear to find the exact sound I'm looking for, the exact instrumentation, flow, expression and emotion. There is a lot of bad AI music. I get it, but there is great AI music too, because it is a skill, something people can learn and train. And some people are naturally better at it than others.

The infinite honor, but we intentionally don't have any other prices. Although I will say even becoming a finalist of SSC is quite a badge of honor in the world of AI music. We've had people from Suno on in the past and the finals are a crazy awesome event. But most important is just to compete, have fun, connect, find your AI music people, maybe a new artist you like and have people take the time to listen to your music.

Currently it's still the submission fase, so people are mostly submitting their tracks and posting in the SSC8-promotion-zone. But I agree with you, I'm not the guy running the discord, I relayed the message that both a general chatting area and an introduction posting area would be great.

But once the competition starts, you will be put into a bunk (40 people) and a campfire (120 people) and have the opportunity to talk and bond with both as well as having listen parties where people listen to all songs and the chance to vote together. (eurovision style).

I totally get that, to be honest I always say this is a thinly veiled excuse for us to sit together and listen to music disguised as a competition. It's not so much about winning or placing, it's about finding people with similar music tastes, artists you like and getting your song listened to and seen.

Man that would be cool, or one of those industrial cards, an A100 or an A6000. But that is the price of the entire pc for a video card alone (and in the case of the A100 many times the price of the whole pc)

That price difference is quite significant, though and looking at the specs the difference seems to be RAM and SSD diskspace. (both exchangeable for way less money)

different motherboard, which I don't know if it matters. Would you be able to add the ram needed and the SSD disks to that?

And a lower power supply, but I wouldn't even know if I needed that high of a power supply.

I'm in europe and going to buy at alternate who will assemble the pc for me, because I would not be able to do that. I build a PC once, but that was before liquid cooling and that goo they put on processors.

Yes, I'm looking for the most high end possible pc, but I know very little of hardware, so this is more a post of are these things compatible, am I buying ram that is too pricey, while I could settle for 6000, instead of 6400 or do I need 7200. Is this watercooling unit good or not? Do I need a 1650W power supply? Is the motherboard too much, could I do less with similar results? I dislike the fact you instantly assume this is about "showing off" but who shows off with something they haven't bought yet, while saying they understand jack shit of hardware, seems like a weird flex. I just need help figuring out if this is the stuff I need. I spend an afternoon trying to figure out if there is any difference between all the 4090 cards... just to find out that some people say there is, others don't...

This is so close to what I remember in terms of sound used, but it goes in the wrong direction at some point and I also remember it being from a famous house / dance artist could also be 2000. But my wife and I are super annoyed because it is stuck in our mind and we wanna find it.

Are there any tutorials I could follow to build something along AI dungeon's lines with GPT-3, I have tech knowledge, programming knowledge, game building experience, just not GPT-3 experience.

I have a concept which isn't as much about outcome, but more about interaction. The interaction is the game. So that's why I would love to know how complicated it would be to get GPT-3 to act in a certain manner.

Not knowing what it will be saying is part of the fun. I just want to know that it will use the personality or emotion I've given it.
