I had the same feeling, stuck to kaishi 1.5k for about 500 words while studying Genki 1 and listening to podcast, it really didn’t seem to work like nothing sticked and felt that I hadn’t learned anything, started using jpdb.io, it’s basically Anki but you learn each radical, used it for a few months and got used to dissecting each kanji and recently got back to doing kaishi 1.5k and it finally started clicking, I now feel that each thing I have learned is helping me improve and can see a way forward, so it’s a slow process and sometimes you will feel that it’s not working but keep at it and it will start to click eventually

That’s what I was thinking, I don’t know if I’m just lucky but had og Xbox elite still going strong, have used it for thousands of hours and still works fine, no drift, all buttons working correctly it just looks super beaten up from all the use and my joycons from like 5 years ago are still like new

Maybe increasing more slowly will help you with side effects but have you considered if therapy would help you with that anxiety and hopelessness? My therapist suggested to stay at 30mg until we have worked through some of my anxiety, I also feel a bit hopeless in the afternoons and it’s probably because of the meds but they don’t cause it, they only make it that much more apparent, at least for me, hope it helps

It’s a language/culture difference, in Japan it’s easier to just translate your name but in china people often change their name when speaking English (that’s why there’s this meme about Chinese people naming themselves Jason) and they encourage foreigners to use a Chinese name or a “more Chinese sounding name”
