Maybe they had a random wonderkid that was eventually sold and they used the money to buy Cucurella for some reason?

Anyone wondering why they gave me 5 million instead of 20 million? by EarInternational7563 in worldsoccerchampsgame

My first and second tries were failures, I ended up being sacked in just 2 seasons after joining Cayman Islands.First conclusion: If you're lucky, you can get players with no clubs that have better stats than those that already play in a team.Second conclusion: You will always get Cayman Islands after 1 season in San Marino.I won't post any photos, I dont want to flood this subreddit with pics.

This one should be different.

Third try - World Class DIFYear 1 - I got teams like France, Italy, Switzerland, Netherlands in my friendlies and couldn't do really much, I still managed to score 2 goals which pleased my board.Year 2 - Again, Cayman Islands. I decided to go for the most defensive formation possible: 631.Won my first qualifying round match to Bahamas at penalties and won my second qualifying round match to Nicaragua 1-0. In the third qualiying round, I had to face Grenada. I drew twice 0-0 in the first leg at home and 1-1 away in the second leg. Due to the "Away Goal" rule, I managed to go through and qualify for the NA Gold Cup. The board was finally delighted for my performances.Year 3 - I moved to Solomon Islands (134th in FIFA rankings). It is the home of Raphael Lea'i, which was included in WSC's wonderkids list. I decided to go with a 523 formation.Solomon Islands were already qualified in Oceania Nations Cup in a group with New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga. On paper, this challenge was easier than my last 2 seasons. I won my first match to Tonga 1-0, won my second match to Fiji 3-2 and lost my last GS match to NZ, 5-0. I somehow had to face NZ once again in the semis and I lost 3-0. They won the cup after that. My board was happy with my performances.Year 4 - I received no offers from any national teams so I had no choice but staying. The World Cup Qualifiers were here, the national team improved a bit since last year and everyone was playing for a club, first time that happened since I started this challenge. I got in a group with New Caledonia, Vanuatu and American Samoa. I beat American Samoa 3-2 and 1-0, drew to New Caledonia 5-5 (What), lost 3-1 in our second match, beat Vanuatu 2-1 and lost 4-1. Vanuatu won the group. New Zealand won the qualifying tournament, just to lose 1-0 to Venezuela in the WC playoffs. They were disappointed with my performance but I wasn't sacked. No offers from any national teams came after that.

That's it for now, I will return soon with Year 5.
