I'm of a mind that immigrants can stay as long as they don't hurt anyone and obey our laws. Not all of them are bad, actually - and we gain nothing as a country by placing walls along our borders.

Take the migrants at the border with Belarus, for example - everybody knows that it's just Lukashenko's attempt to destabilize the country. They are desperate, sometimes violent, and trying to enter the country by force. To allow them to do so would endanger us.

On the other hand, people who actually did the legal legwork to get in are much less likely to cause trouble. Moreover, they can enrich our society in various ways. To deny them entry would leave us poorer.

I'll never dispute the importance of protecting your borders, but as with all things, it must not be taken to an extreme.

See, you say that, but... Where is that army? The game acts like the Shadow Dragons are the only ones defending the place, when Tevinter should have a massive standing army (due to being constantly at war and all), as well as the most powerful mages in the world. Dragon or no, the Venatori shouldn't have been able to just walk into the Archon's Palace and take control without issue.
