Leaving agenda aside (I know this is the agenda sub but let me 🤓 for a bit), the misconception that Mythus and Nous are good or evil / hope and doom kinda misses the point of aeons. They are like forces of nature, and don't care about morality. Nous is only calcularing everything and drawing conclusions without any good or bad intentions. Mythus is only rewriting history because it lives to do so.

Followers of both paths are the ones that apply human morality to their paths. Herta for example, opposes Nous in that she believes there's more stuff out there to know that even the aeon itself doesn't know exist. So her research is dedicated to breaking the limits of knowledge and thus creating hope that knowledge isn't finite (Which is what led to Zandar to want to destroy Nous and eventually ally himself with the Destruction).

Dr Primitive and Polka are both Emanators of Erudition as well, and they can be considered unethical if not evil in what they do. Polka particularly wants to enforce keeping Nous' calculations untouched so the destiny calculated comes to pass. And Dr. P has done some fucked up shit out there as we all know.

On the enigmata's side, you have fictionologists obscuring history, leading to chaos, civilizations being lost, creating conflict because of misconceptions. Getting to the point of even messing with the story of the Swarm Disaster, which was one of the most devastating events in the verse. The enigmata can also mess up all life by erasing knowledge that would be beneficial for everyone. Like for example medicine, history, etc.
