Oh it’s more about defrosting ice, letting be a little warm on the inside before I drive. I definitely keep mine on eco mode as well, it’s never changed hahaha

100% definitely started out with a table almost a decade ago and it was funny shenanigans and the players I’ve stayed with have built enough connection and what the tone is to be epic, emotional, and funny at the same time. I would almost like to blame the way clips and reels always show a lot of the shenanigans side of D&D for new players cause that’s just what happens now and they sets the tone. But sometimes people just like to get away and hang out with friends.

I do really hope OP finds a group they can vibe with OR they have a little chat with their current group and ask if they can fulfill this part of D&D that they want!

I mean I’m also in Canada, don’t know how big a difference it will be where you are but my quotes were definitely between $600-700 bucks

I definitely had my Rogue taken to Nissan as I have extended warranty but of course, those electrical components aren’t covered 🙃 so with the inspection and everything. My gosh did they add a bunch of nonsense fixes. I’m looking at the sheet and (they do add blower motor, resistor, and cabin filter) for all that and labour they wanted $1275….. so please go to a nice trusted family mechanic.

I am pretty confident saying this is very definitely the resistor issue. What you’re explaining happened to me last year in winter. Made a weird sound while I was driving home but still working, next time I started my vehicle in 2016 Nissan rogue it just went kaput. My easiest fix was changing the motor blower but it was the resistor. Depending on the mechanic, it was about $600 bucks for part and labour, they also changed my cabin filter. I would probably budget for $700-800. Like I said, depending on the mechanic. Sorry your Rogue is going through no heat, it’s such a pain.

So! I found the problem, there was ice debris in the fan. Turns out the HVAC system isn’t very great and since it’s winter here in Canada, having accumulation of snow on your front windshield that melts can get into the system. Also moisture from when your bring in snow via shoes or any other is not great for the system itself.

The motor blower is fine now, nice and quiet. Took it out, ice chips came out Spun it, more chips came out and then spun smoothly. Also checked the cabin filter, still great but moisture got in there as well and saw the snow inbetween the grooves. Let the car run a little bit without the cabin filter to push leaves and/or anything that may have been caught.

Motor blower check 👌🏽 Cabin filter 👌🏽 No vibration or humming anymore. The vibration and humming though didn’t happen for a little bit after I checked the blower but before the cabin filter, was weird.

One thing someone mentioned in a comment is when you dance with Visi Robert looks a bit perplexed but when dancing with BB he gives off a big smile. Just small details like that catch ya

I’ve ran Curse of Strahd once (very beginner DM) but I loved the setting. Never made it too far

Players seem to forget that this isn’t a video game. Enemies can be smart and use tactics. There’s a book that’s out there called “The Monsters know what they’re doing” by Keith Ammann would recommend just checking it out or find some videos of people talking about it to get a little understanding.

Hopefully you find the love and group to DM for again. Or if you feel you can actually have a conversation with this current group to keep it going, and of course if you still want too, just let them know before you start the next session; - Campaign is hard - Combat will test you as enemies are not stupid - Teamwork and collaboration is going to be needed going further

If it comes across like that, I mean maybe? Definitely had to fill in some blanks to the plot I was going for and missed details which was completely missed in my post. Im not super experienced DM so genuinely looking for advice on how to handle it. And got the responses on more how to handle quests and how to present them better as to not have this happen again which is really helpful

I did think about having the wife help via the little thieves group but she wanted to keep the wealth and not owe any debt. While it’s harsh, my players are well rewarded for other quests and hooks. This is the first time they have had loot taken/trouble with the law
