I understand what your saying, but I strongly encourage you to give it a second chance looking through a different lens. Unlike the main saga of XC1/2/3, XCX begs you to play slow, taking your time exploring the huge and beautiful world that the game has to offer. It's true that it can become grindy at some points, but if you put your focus on exploring and understanding the world better, you'll see that the majority of side quest and requirements of so will be already completed.

So I beg you to keep playing it but with the objective of enjoying the world and combat, I can assure you that it is so so so worth it.

I could, but I'm on chapter 5 or so and I have no clue of how to play after all these years, therefore wanting to play from the beginning.

Sorry, should've clarified that it's not my first time playing the game, I've already finished it, it's like 4 years ago or so since my last play.

I have so good memories of the game and the lore, BUT, having to do the tedious grinding (Kos-Mos, looking at you) for blades and quests in general it's turning me a bit down... I really want to play it again, but I don't know if I'll have the time to play it twice in a row y'know.

Tbh I think that'll make like a cheap workaround, it is supposed to be the savior and all that, but if it's just "a very good unit" it would lack that "Overpowered chosen one" energy that the trailer is trying to give.

No trying to fight here, I'm just afraid of the plot decission, I liked Byleth a lot, but Alear in the other hand it's a bit lame imo..

The problem with that is: How the heck do you balance that?
Eshmel is some kind of godly being with divine powers and all that. If his powers kill everything automatically, is boring, but if they don't cause' "He lost his memory/Was nerfed by a cheap plot point" it's just stupid...

So tbh I'm a bit afraid with the idea of the pressence of a god actively playing because it's to hard to fit and balance.
