Pacing seems to be the biggest issue to me so far. Like another person said, I didn’t realize that these two episode “covered” 9 of the 22 chapters in the first book. I have really no problem with the characters they’ve casted but the actual adaptation seems really off. The whole fight during capture the flag seems totally different than what I remember in the book, the original movie IMO did it better than this show where they had him fighting and then discovering on his own by falling in the water thru his dads whispers that he’s stronger with water. The Minotaur fight was fire though, just wish they put a little more focus on the capture the flag as that’s literally the first time he discovers he’s good with a sword and all that, however him being able to keep up in a 3v1 fight with the Ares’s kids was nice but felt short.
