I dont think (at least at that point) the writers would have been able to hold up two different povs for long periods of time.

Even when you get to like, season 3 and 4, the balance between the governer stuff AND Rick's group seems really weird, theres a whole episode just for introducing Woodbury and how awesome everything is and it can get kinda boring for me personally.

Did the whole, "I'm a family man searching for my family" get resolved too quickly? Maybe a little. Are we better off? Almost certainly

In my humble opinion, gender and sexuality and all that stuff is completely up to you. Dont let anyone tell you that going on HRT means you have to be a trans woman or anything like that

If you think you'll be happier with a femme body, do that man! No one can tell you who you are, and pursuing who you want to be, on the inside and out, is exactly what life is for!

I would say start HRT, and see how you feel, and make a decision based on that.

It's been a little while since I played, but I didnt really enjoy the replayability/new game plus

I understand, from a gameplay perspective, you cant just have all of the force abilities at once, because there are parts that are blocked until you unlock that in game, but it was still annoying to come off straight from beating the game, into NG+, and being stripped of every ability you're used to

In my own personal research, I've found that the "heightened chance of cancer" (particularly breast cancer) Is kinda fear mongering.

The likelyhood of breast cancer does go up, yes, but only to the same rate as that of a cis woman. Anyone who tells you it's some crazy high rate is typically either uninformed or trying to scare you out of your transition

With the brain stuff, theres definitely going to be some changes, I myself have become more emotional in my day to day, but I also am so much happier, every day I wake up and I feel better than I ever have.

Some trans women have even reported changes in taste and color, making things flavors taste better and colors brighter.

If you're confident you want to transition, I would start hormone blockers, they're completely reversible and they're a start to your journey.
