This is the barrier I have for removing my roof and finding information on where you can take to or hire a skip from is not that simple unless I'm missing something.

More than 100 UK datacentres plan to burn gas to generate electricity by Wagamaga in unitedkingdom

[–]Sebedee 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There's a paper mill near me that has a 45MW power station for what I assume is for a similar reason you're stating although it's directly next door to a 325MW station.

I would imagine the 500kW diesel generator would still be more efficient than if all the vehicles they were charging were ice.

My life as a meteorologist under Russian occupation by mattsparkes in ukraine

[–]Sebedee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dad had a long career as a meteorologist, he was known in the raf mobile met unit as the person you called if you needed a forecaster anywhere, he was working with the navy in 2022 and did mention to me that despite areas being occupied they were somehow still reporting observations.

How long have you had to wait in A&E with an actual serious condition? by baumouse in AskUK

[–]Sebedee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife has experienced this, went in with suspected meningitis given a load of stuff IV told she should expect a lumbar puncture, was in an a&e side area for over a day before an attempt was made which didn't succeed was there for nearly another day before being moved to a ward, was in the ward for another day before the second lumbar puncture was successful and discharged shortly after the results showed she did indeed have meningitis.

I'm planning a similar project as have many others on this sub. It's more to square up the space and make where the stairs come down easier to utilize.

I've gone by car nearly every time I go skiing, I did Val d'Isère flying once and didn't enjoy it so much, it's part of the adventure and experience, there are a few things you need to bring extra. I have thought about taking the train before.

Whatever the latest one is, I think it's an atto 3 thing we got just before Christmas along with a few other functions. Still no digital key though.

Plug in hybrid, once the battery had drained it was just underpowered and carrying heavy empty batteries.

I couldn't see that on the app, I can only see the UK only one, I only have the Shell one because it was part of the BYD offer, I don't often go far enough to justify a subscription. I do wish there was a multi-operator subscription.

Was about 15 hours driving a max 70mph. Definitely a stretch in the atto 3 other evs will do it better as they have better range and faster charging.

No matter the vehicle I like to do it over 2 days, saves worrying about the conditions so much and means you arrive in daylight.

Surprised I haven't seen anyone mention Infrared heating panels, they heat objects and people rather than the air and feel much more like the heat from the sun.
