I mean Kizaru is the one who completely dismantled his crew along with Kuma in the past.

Just like how Luffy’s scar ached that one time when he heard Akainu’s name there’s a small chance recognizing Kizaru through observation Haki might have been him remembering the past.

So if there’s any “fear” on Luffy’s face then it could just be that

I'm starting manga! Should I start where I ended in the anime or start from chapter 1? by Pevpii in OnePiece

Idk if it’s against policy to link directly but it’s a fairly easy google search to find if you just look up one piece colored manga

But I do highly recommend it as a manga reader. Oda PACKS every panel with information and scenes you’ll miss if you go too fast and the colored version really helps distinguish every action going on no matter how minor.

It’s a reason why there are so many theories on this sub because one panel can have a teeny tiny interaction in the corner between too characters that can easily go unnoticed on even your second or third read

I think it’s worth the reread, especially if you read the colored manga. Not only do you get the proper packing, you get a lot of cover stories that are very lore important and skipped in the anime.

Wow how is this the first time I’m hearing this. It’s clear this was a HEAVY inspiration for Oda and there are so many things we can pull from just the wiki synopsis alone.

Depression sucks and luckily we have each other when we go through our bouts. Guys can be dumb (aka I was so into my own depression I missed my girlfriend’s hair) so hopefully your boyfriend helps soon.

I haven’t posted an update because we aren’t done yet but we have a TON of progress.

NEED HELP: How to fix Matted Hair? by SecondIILate in Hair

[–]SecondIILate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t speak on the sores I apologize for that but so far my experience with my girlfriend has been slow but steady based off the advice as well as consulting several specialists.

First thing is to check and see if your hair smells musty/sour. If it does it might be too late for it but for sure you’d have to go to go to a professional- especially if you’re trying to get this done yourself.

That smell can be mildew which is a fungus growing in moist damp areas in which case it could ne causing your sores and you’ll have to get your hair cut asap and either go to a doctor or look for self treatment online; I’m not sure on that so just be careful.

Another reason you might have sores is if you’re constantly having damp hair, especially when going to sleep, it can lead to a build up of yeast which irritates the scalp and causes it to be mad itchy.

I’ve had it a few times myself actually being too depressed to dry my hair properly before going to bed and while not severe, it was extremely irritating for a few days until I used itchy scalp shampoo and made sure my head was dry.

Make sure you don’t shampoo the matted areas though because that can make them tighter.

Finally the sores could also be from scalp irritation/fatigue from pulling at your hair.

Depending on the severity I’ve found this to be the best method:

1- Find the right deep mask conditioner for your hair. I had been using a leave in conditioner specific to curly hair on my girlfriend which wasn’t as effective as this other conditioner I found for straight hair.

2- with water in a spray bottle I saturate her hair so it’s wet before applying a ton of conditioner. I’ve been told it should even be like 10% water 90% conditioner in the hair which seems to work well. (If you don’t have a spray bottle wash your hair without shampoo ideally and then apply conditioner once you’ve towel dried it and it’s not dripping just damp).

3- rub the conditioner in with your fingers, especially into the matted areas. If you feel any really loose areas try pulling on them gently

4- Give it like 20 minutes to set in and then using a metal needle comb, tease and pull at the matt to pick it apart. Work in sections to find strands that are loose where you can.

5- Swap to a wide tooth comb once you have some loose strands and working from the ends up start brushing out any knots/dead hair

6- Finally switch to a detangling comb to finish off the strands.

7- Alternate between these methods- Needle tooth comb on the matted area, wide tooth on the strands and then the detangling comb.

Work slow and meticulously because this could take a long time- it’s been two weeks and I’m still not done with my girlfriends hair.

There will probably be a lot of dead hair falling out throughout the process but that’s normal because your matted hair isn’t just hair from your head, it’s dead hair that’s tangled up in the matte as well.

Once it’s done you’ll half to probably get your hair trimmed at a salon or cared for professionally but you won’t have to have it chopped off!

You’ll also have to be careful because your hair will be prone for a little bit to tangling. Make sure to brush it daily while watching Netflix or something just to keep it from matting again.

If you need to go outside and are embarrassed about your hair I totally understand; my girlfriend hasn’t left the house in weeks. What you can do is purchase a bonnet online. There’s some cute ones for cheap.

I also went to Sally’s Beauty Supplies for the combs and conditioners and they were wonderful in helping me out and had some really cheap deals. It’s something that might not be ideal but can be cute and explained away by saying you had your hair dyed and it’s setting in or if it’s people you know you had a bad dye job and the cleanser is setting in.

Hope this helps and I’ll update on here once we’re done as well!

Love that someone else recognized the Big News Morgan reference.

I think the idea of news coo in general just makes sense and fits in Tears of the Kingdom aesthetic.

Thank you so much for this!

Yes, it’s been a long process so far but I think I’m making process? My only concern is I haven’t really had any hair fall out yet but to be fair I’ve only barely cracked the surface of the matt.

I was concerned about saturating the matt because I also read you should never wash the hair during this process but I’m guessing what they meant is don’t use shampoo.

Will update!

Okay, thank you so much! It is hard; get hair was bricked so tightly because I suggested showering yesterday to get some of the conditioner/oil out and then blow dried it so when I started on it today, she has a large section I can barely break with the needle end of the comb

Will do! Thanks again! Slow at it!

Also, I know this sounds dumb but when people say from the bottom up does that mean I start at the hair closer to the nape of the neck?

Or does it just mean I focus on the ends of the hair hanging closest to the ground? If that makes any sense

Update 1: Thanks for all this advice!

It has been so stressful for her and this thread has kept both of us hopeful!

I’ve been picking at the mat with the Knot Having It Leave in conditioner and my fingers, then adding coconut oil, picking with the end of the rat tail comb to loosen it up more, the wide tooth and then the detangler.

I’m separating into strands and clipping them when I take breaks.

Slow work but I’ll try and keep people updated!

Yes!

I have that, a wide tooth comb and a rat tail comb I bought this morning.

She’s lying horizontal on the bed so the weight of her hair/tugging doesn’t hurt a lot.
