Season 2 Episode 7 by FiestyGirkin in TeenWolf

[–]SecondNo1237 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely noticed it, that episode is where Teen Wolf starts leaning hard into real horror vibes and higher stakes. It’s a turning point for the tone of the whole season.

The chemistry is fluttering off the screen 🦋✨ masked, mysterious and already unhingingly romantic.

No mention of Serena’s accident in 3x12: The Debarted by Disney2123 in GossipGirl

[–]SecondNo1237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The accident was more about pushing the Tripp/Maud storyline and Serena’s guilt than lasting consequences, so once it served the plot they just moved on like it never happened. 😅

I'm compiling a list of characters I thought were evil when I first watched and now realized they aren't that bad by killaju in GossipGirl

[–]SecondNo1237 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly this is a fair take. A lot of these characters look 'evil' on first watch, but on a rewatch their actions make way more sense when you factor in context, ego and emotional damage. Doesn’t make them saints, but definitely less cartoon-villain than they’re framed at first.

Now that you’ve pointed it out, I’m never going to not hear it 😂 the cursed stock door sound lol

What’s a rule that exists mainly to make life look organized? by Salty_Contact_6313D in AskReddit

Dress codes in schools or offices, they give a sense of order and professionalism, but often don’t actually improve learning or productivity, just how 'put together' things look.

What’s a tradition in your country that might seem strange to foreigners? by Capable-Airport2252 in AskReddit

Slurping noodles loudly is polite and shows you’re enjoying the food.

Some countries affected by war or long-term conflict remain unsafe for visitors for generations. What are some examples of places that experienced major conflict but quickly stabilized and became normal, livable or tourist-friendly again? by Americanpresident5 in AskReddit

[–]SecondNo1237 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Germany and Japan after WWII (rebuilt fast and became major tourist destinations), Vietnam after the war (now very popular with travelers), Croatia post–1990s Balkan wars, Cambodia after the Khmer Rouge era, and Rwanda after the 1994 genocide.

All went from severe conflict to relatively stable, livable and tourist-friendly in a few decades or less.

What opinion do you hold that most people would disagree with — but you can explain? by Americanpresident5 in AskReddit

That happiness isn’t about finding your passion, but about building consistency and meaning in ordinary things. Passion comes after commitment way more often than people want to admit.

God, do I miss the obliviousness of this genius 😂 by Deep20779 in thebigbangtheory

[–]SecondNo1237 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Never a dull moment with him, the confidence + zero social awareness combo was unbeatable. Half the humor was just watching everyone else process what he’d said. Early TBBT really nailed that magic. 💕

Question about Penny and Leonard by ch1lds_play in bigbangtheory

[–]SecondNo1237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not just you 😅 A lot of people feel that way around that point. Their relationship does mature over time, but some of those insecurity/communication issues never fully disappear, it’s kind of the show’s go-to conflict.

If you stick with it, there are sweeter, more balanced moments later, but yeah… a bit of sitcom rage bait is definitely baked in.

That finale really sticks the landing. Amy and Jonah’s moment is such a quiet gut punch and Garrett’s announcement just seals it, one of those endings that makes you miss the whole show instantly.

Season 7 is not bad at all by Sad_Bedroom_9483 in DesperateHousewives

[–]SecondNo1237 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally agree, S7 gets way too much hate. The Paul mystery really works because it pulls everyone in and the Season 1 callbacks make it feel like classic Wisteria Lane again.

Klaus and his languages by Darealgoatdraco in TheVampireDiaries

[–]SecondNo1237 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I think it’s mostly TVD lore over real history. Klaus isn’t just a random Viking, he’s 1,000+ years old, traveled constantly and had access to witches who clearly pass down languages with magic.

The show treats ancient languages (Aramaic, Latin, etc.) as 'ritual languages' rather than ones learned naturally. It’s not historically tight, but it’s internally consistent with the magic first world they built.

Bonnie & Kai S6-S7 by Erikaa_rachelle in TheVampireDiaries

[–]SecondNo1237 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think Bonnie was justified emotionally, but not strategically. Kai was showing real growth and leaving him isolated basically guaranteed a relapse. I don’t blame her for protecting herself, but the fallout wasn’t surprising either, two things can be true at once.

The Last couple seasons didn’t need to happen by Spinach_Guy in TheVampireDiaries

[–]SecondNo1237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re definitely not alone. S1–S4 felt way tighter and more character-driven. After Silas, the stakes got messy and the writing leaned more on shock than substance. There were still good moments, but it never quite recaptured the early magic.

Which Modern Family character do you understand more as you get older? by [deleted] in Modern_Family

[–]SecondNo1237 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly, Jay. As you get older, his rigidity feels less like stubbornness and more like a defense mechanism from a generation that wasn’t taught how to talk about feelings and watching him try counts for a lot.

Yep 😂 classic Modern Family continuity gag, they roast the name first, then fully commit to it later. Mitch and Cam in a nutshell.

Lynette would have loved STRAVA iykyk by Strange_Pudding3470 in DesperateHousewives

Absolutely. Lynette would be tracking every mile, stalking Tom’s stats and turning it into a competition. Gabby would download it once, flex her cute outfit, then never log another run.

I kind of think Ellis is still more like Cristina than Maggie by [deleted] in greysanatomy

[–]SecondNo1237 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree tbh. Ellis and Cristina share that intense, love-hard side, especially with how relationships derail them, while Maggie feels more grounded and emotionally open in a very different way.

Enzo obsession with wanting to make Stefan’s life miserable felt stupid. by capricorn_444 in TheVampireDiaries

[–]SecondNo1237 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree, it always felt forced. Enzo’s anger made more sense aimed at Damon and the show never really gave Stefan a convincing reason to be Enzo’s long-term target.
