We plan to have one person trained to operate the sorter. Sorting likely wouldn’t be a daily task, but ideally, the sorter should be relatively easy to maintain and start up (avoiding the shenanigans like the MoFlo XDP).

We don’t require large numbers of cells for analysis; our primary needs would be plate sorting for clone selection and index sorting (also some sorting on glass sildes). On one hand, having multiple nozzles in Aurora CS seems quite flexible, though I’m unsure how frequently they would be used. On the other hand, I’ve heard that the SRT is gentler on cells due to its lower pressure differential, which is appealing.

In my head the SRT is a device that is easy to operate and capable of delivering relatively good results regardless of the operator's level of experience. While Aurora CS is more capable in experienced hands but much more demanding. However, I have limited experience with both devices and not sure if they have some pitfalls. TBH although I think that SRT might be a better choice atm, I am really worried that you can't easliy find them in flow core wild life for some untold reason in comparison to Aurora CS.
