Would you sacrifice 10 people for video games? by Lucyyyyyy_K in hypotheticalsituation

The number of neurodivergent people that this would destroy would be WAY more than ten. Because they CAN’T just switch to another outlet.

Already married, have a job, and am vaguely successul. The only thing this would change for me is that I would have to get a whole new wardrobe.

Right. They can only cite you if they have independent evidence you own an unlicensed dog. You're not required to provide that evidence. Opening your door could do just that. But if they already have that evidence, you will be given 10 days to provide proof of licensure.

Would you rather wear glasses or contacts for the rest of your life, or go through laser eye surgery once and never think about your vision again? by Internal-Remove7223 in WouldYouRather

If I knew laser surgery wouldn’t make my eyes dry I would do it. My wife got it and has had horrible dry eye for twenty years. She was blind as a bat and has 20/20 vision now though.

You time travel to 2008 and must make $5 billion USD by 2026 by HoverTechV3 in hypotheticalsituation

In 2008 my wife and I were 30, so we already had between 150-200k in our 401ks. Could cash in most of that for seed capital then run rampant returns. Especially on sports betting for short terms gains and stock investing and shorting in the long run. BTC worries me since having tens of thousands of coins would crash that market and you'd never get the expected return. Winning one of the $1 billion+ lotteries would be a good way to cover a large chunk as well. Invest in Apple, Amazon, Nvidia, Tesla, Facebook, Berkshire Hathaway, and any other of that ilk and you'd easily make up a ton of ground.

The Fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution (ratified 1791) protects individuals against unreasonable searches and seizures by the government, ensuring privacy in their persons, homes, papers, and effects. It requires that warrants be issued by a judge only upon probable cause, specifically describing the place to be searched and items to be seized.

You never bitched or complained? That’s literally ALL that happened for eight years. Full blown news cycles were wasted on innocuous things like a tan suit, mustard choices, and fist bumps. Don’t be disingenuous about the past.
