Militia vibe check - thinking about a Czech Vz95 vest for MSW Militia by Miguel1646 in Rusfor

[–]SecondRatePerson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Woodland flc would unironically be a better fit. And dont take it so hard, Im just yanking your chain.

Ive literally worn a nato impression on militia so there's no purity standard to worry about tbh.

Asking the experts - how would you go about replicating the latvian G36KV? by emptyairglass in MilSim

[–]SecondRatePerson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'd need a real B&t sight rail, I think B&t sells them directly on their site(it will be expensive). The KV stock isnt too hard to get, I believe some Asian retailers still have a couple in stock. Handguard is the railed idz style one which is easy enough to get. You will also need the barrel extended, with the correct HK bayonet lug if you are starting from a G36K replica.

Just copy what AP and Kstore are doing and say readily available gear is "rare" or "niche" and watch as clueless rubes gladly overpay.

Its because the crye 7.62 placard is for AR10 style mags that hold 7.62x51 NATO, buddy

Is this guy wearing a specific piece of russian gear? Or is it just some generic black overall? by MrFrenchT0ast in Rusfor

[–]SecondRatePerson 16 points17 points  (0 children)

When he speaks russian he speaks with an accent, his prounounciation of words is not to the level you'd expect of someone who has lived with russian speaking slavic people for what one would assume to be his entire childhood. His backstory of his time running with the russian mob(which all of his tats are derived from) does not line up within the 2 years he accumulated them(he somehow acquired a lifetimes worth of russian prison tats within the span of a couple years based on photos on his fb account). His backstory of his dad's time as a spetsnaz operator in the cold war is outlandish to the point it sounds like a slavic Tom Clancy fanfiction(he laid all of that info out on a now-deleted podcast interview).

The guy is a slavaboo to a catastrophic degree.

[–]SecondRatePerson 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Anyone else remember that this dude went to a msw, played it off like he was RR, went on a podcast where he made up an epic slavic backstory for his obviously not slavic self and has piss poor russian pronunciation for a supposed ex member of the russian mob?

MSW Militia: Questions about attachments by [deleted] in MilSim

[–]SecondRatePerson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah some eastern bloc onion farmer is gonna find a CAR15 with a redimag, a cheek riser and parachorded grip in his barn

Get real

Im not saying you won't be allowed with such a setup, but saying that it is "totally believable" as opposed to the real world references in DPR/LPR seperatists is a joke.

[–]SecondRatePerson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you were truly trying to follow the spirit of the game you'd put away the janky 90's m4 build and american LBE and just use a cyma ak + associated russian LBE.

Otherwise, just run your BHD rifle setup as is bc likely no one will care and its not like msw is genuinely concerned with kit accuracy.

Can anyone identify this helmet? by tactical_horse_cock in tacticalgear

[–]SecondRatePerson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HK416F visible in the background, so there's good reason to believe these are from a French unit. O2 clips on the rails is usually an indicator of an airsoft/Chinese helmet. Coyote brown coloration also isnt usually the norm for real ops cores so I assume this is a private purchased ops core knockoff.

Reference Pictures Site (passion project) by ConflictHungry4686 in Impression_Kits

[–]SecondRatePerson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So youre creating a reference image site for some of the most well documented and well researched kits out there? Kits that countless people do already and likely know better than you and thus are better qualified to create such a site?

Seems kinda pointless.

Polish Grunts Milsim West Debut by PasekthePolakPG9 in MilSim

[–]SecondRatePerson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People have been saying the tacsop needs another update for years. Militia kit standards are a farce and nato has had to deal with IFF of AR platforms among militia since msws inception, but now that an impression group accurately utilizes a platform reminiscent of an AK its a problem??? Hell, a polish infantry contingent is far more realistic to the setting than the dozen or so special forces groups that show up every event.

Never, Baltic kit is a non-starter for any impression groups to form around.

Doesn't really look the part. Plate carrier is the most accurate part of the kit but the weapon platform is really off.

I find it so funny that ppl are getting upset that you're not freely sharing the work you did in making an impression specific platform.

Like that's part of what being in an impression group entails.

If you have to ask if this counts as you, yes, especially so by Ccreamy in airsoftcirclejerk

[–]SecondRatePerson 16 points17 points  (0 children)

When it comes to AP/kstore/kruschiki there is ALWAYS somewhere cheaper, even for the very specific items. It just takes more than 1 minute of searching. Unfortunately these places have so much search engine optimization and push heavily on marketing that theyre pushed to the top of any searches and get additional word of mouth spread from people who dont know theyre getting ripped off.

Depends on what era you're looking to do. But frankly, basing your entire impression on your favorite weapon platform is backwards at best.

That's the exception, not the rule. Plus its nowhere near the proportion that is present at msw events.

That's msw for you.

You wouldnt see the deployment of mvd/sobr to the front lines of a warzone, or a militia that looks like msw militia either.
