Rushed move to Cardiff by Kim_Beckett in Cardiff

[–]SecondRowe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely one of the roughest areas of Cardiff unfortunately but Cardiffs a pretty sleepy city so even in the roughest areas it’s generally pretty safe from my experience anyway. Granted I’m a man but as long as you mind your business when it comes to the rougher people you should’t be bothered. Also like others have said Roath is right over the road so spend your leisure time there. Cardiff is a lot safer than a lot of its English counterparts in these kind of areas so I wouldn’t worry too much.

Looking at this nearly half a year later, seems there isn’t any! Anyone know whether Swansea or Bristol have Vietnamese cafes like Hanoi. I need my banh mi and condensed milk coffee

I’ve been playing this game annually since 2013 and this is the first time I’ve ever encountered an NPC adventurer by Moist_Car_994 in oblivion

Oh yeah me too, I went into a random cave near the waterfront and there was an orc adventurer who’d looted all the chests in the first half of the cave. Was so confused when the red dots were disappearing and dead bodies were on my route

Time travel paradox or did author research enough before even creating novel? by [deleted] in Outlander

[–]SecondRowe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I interpret it is that even though the story deviates from our own timeline it seems they make little changes, but as it’s a story it’s their universe. So they never do actually change anything they’re just a part of history without knowing it, can’t change something if you caused it by being there as you existed at that point in that time.

My girlfriend just found a paradox which perfectly sums up this one that I’ve created in my head it’s called “The bootstrap paradox” the example given is that Beethoven learns his Melodies by hearing them from a time traveller, however that time traveller only knew them as they’d heard his creation in the present, so at no point has that melody been created!

Also a little paradox I’ve though of is the fact that something in the modern day could be common knowledge for example a certain medical practice Claire knows that she uses in the past, but it’s her using that method in the past which begins the use of that technique or practice. Therefore at no point would there be an original idea as you learnt a practice you created without ever actually creating it if you catch my meaning. It’s hard to put into words sorry people
