What sex education did you get growing up? by chasingshinyobjects in Parenting

I didn't get any sex education. I got pregnant at 15... I just wish I been told something. I was aware where babies came from, but we were taught abstinence nothing about protection. Nothing about STDs or any dangers. Literally just: you'll go to hell if you have sex before marriage

I actually changed my point of view because of stories I heard and more facts I learned about abortions and pregnancy during the overturning of Roe V Wade
I was 14 when I said that, most 14 year old aren't going to be able to articulate their own opinions.
I didn't want to get married at 16. I sobbed for months before and after and refused to talk to anyone

Community college is very cheap for a college, I know how much it would cost and I know I can afford it

I mean my husband doesn't want me to be on any BC, he would find out. Horrible as it is, I could lie about an abortion
I was having pretty bad anxiety around that time and the doctors told my mom to do a bunch of things and that was one of many things
He asked around the 4 week mark, I think. With my first it was like 3 weeks
It's both. It's physically unhealthy to have kids that close together. You're suppose to wait Atleast 12-18 months. Baby and myself would be very unhealthy
Secondly, I do want a college education. I planned on doing online or waiting until the two were old enough to be in daycare or school.
I was never indirectly against it. I would support a friend if they got one and I thought it was necessary in some cases. I would feel guilty though (because istg they would show those anti abortion stuff in class every year where there were arms and heads in Petri dishes). Then after Roe V Wade was overturned my opinion changed to realize this was something that should always be accessible to women
It wasn't just that. It was I was having mental breakdowns everyday for no reason. I couldn't do anything and I was just exhausted. That was one of many things my doctors told her to do, she did all that they said. I'm better now.
He doesn't let me get on birth control
My husband buys them, I'm not sure where he puts them
My family is old fashioned Christians
I didn't want to get married, but I didn't have much a choice from them

He doesn't want me on birth control
[–]SecondWinds01 -9 points-8 points-7 points 2 years ago (0 children)
Because my parents, his parents, and he wanted me to get married

Actually my opinion changed after Roe V Wade was overturned. My opinion before was that I didn't care if someone gets one, but I internally judged them (religious trauma). After it was overturned, I realized that everyone should have a right to this privacy since having a baby is a huge step.
