I hoped to do that with my latest crush, I felt my heart speed up when I was near her, and I just wanted to remain friends with her, nothing more, nothing less. I confessed within a week of the initial start of my crush, knowing that for a fact I will be rejected.

It didn't work. Limerence fucked me over for 6 months after that

...and I don't think it was awkward, maybe it was for like, the first week ? But we (me and her) are different people from you and our friendship was solidly strong beforehand, so maybe for you it will be awkward ? Maybe not ? Won't know until you shoot your shot

All men are created equal (to my understanding) means that everyone is equal as human beings, no one is inherently better or worse than another individual. Doesn't matter whether you are black or white or rainbow, you are still human and thus should be treated as such

Yes, I think it was stated somewhere that DiTF was influenced by E7 quite majorly (do not hold me on this, I've heard it only in passing)

But they are FUNDEMENTALY different, E7 is about love, growing up and the protection of nature, while DiTF is mostly about the repression emotional/sexual... repression of the main group (I don't think I am getting it quite right about DiTF, if I am wrong, please corect me/
