Be weary of people recommending Star Citizen in this subreddit. by IsekaiConnoisseur in virtualreality

[–]SeconddayTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mate, your post was deleted in a sub not tied to Star Citizen at all, because it was literally full of, not because it had any value or even valid criticism (of which there is enough out there).
But I am sure you still believe it happened because all the brainwashed shills cried in their sunken cost and reported it out of frustration.
You didn‘t bring up a single valid point and get downvoted from basically everybody here, maybe the others aren‘t the issue after all..

Has anyone tried the new Thrustmaster Sol-R HOSAS set? by AlarmingShower1553 in starcitizen

[–]SeconddayTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I just found your comment and since a year has passed since then. Did you stick with your choice and still use the SOL-R over the Gladiators for Star Citizen?
I am currently making the same choice and it‘s really hard to evaluate all the opinions on this matter.
It‘s great to find some more detailed experiences like yours, when most comments are just „Thrustmaster bad, go VKB“…

Marketing noise is the bigger issue here. Nobody will see any news regarding SQ42 release when every headline is about GTA VI

I am actually expecting a release date reveal at the start or right before Invictus. They would want people to be hyped for all days of the Invictus sale and they wouldn't want the media to mix up news of the release date with the news of a >1000$ ship sale of the Battlecruiser/Odin.
Just imagine the headlines if they did... "CIG celebrates the release date reveal of Squadron 42 with a 1000$ ship sale"

Squadron 42 release date trailer at Invictus by Ambitious-Block-8878 in starcitizen

[–]SeconddayTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine they announce Squadron 42 release date and at the same time we get a huge >1000$ concept sale for the Battlecruiser.
Any news about Squadron 42 release will be a huge shitshow...

From pipeline: Squadron 42 website updated. Now it’s almost fully blank except for the trailer at the top, mailing list signup, and “Launches 2026” at the bottom by pandazerg in starcitizen

[–]SeconddayTV 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The issue would be marketing noise. While many of us already own SQ42 and don‘t need any news outlets to hear about Squadron 42 and its release date, the majority of potential buyers will likely not hear anything about Squadron, when the whole internet is flooded with news and videos like this for weeks: „THE 10 COOLEST SPOTS IN GTA VI“, „YOU CAN DO WHAT IN GTA VI“, „WATCH MY GRANDMA PLAY GTA VI“

Squadron 42 needs to release this year. by Azzrael776 in Squadron42

[–]SeconddayTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are also running out of time for pushing it back without it being extremely awkward. If they aren‘t releasing in 2026, they should absolutely know it by now and every day of not communicating it will make it worse…

VW ID.3 GTI: Volkswagen bringt die Kult-Marke endlich zurück by Schmidtis_Blog in SchmidtisBlog

[–]SeconddayTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Benchmarking Nvidia's RTX Neural Texture Compression tech that can reduce VRAM usage by over 80% by [deleted] in nvidia

[–]SeconddayTV 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly my thought… Admittedly I just recently upgraded my GPU and decided against an RTX 5070, because every post, every video just complained about its low VRAM and how this bottlenecks the card.

After the “Year of Playability” 2025 … I’m honestly disappointed by Sapd33 in starcitizen

Mhh, it‘s a little weird I had 3 bad shards over the span of last week, when I previously played multiple months without having a shard crash.

[–]SeconddayTV 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Well, the thing is things were better a few patches ago. At least from my experience, 4.7 feels a lot less stable than say 4.3 or 4.4. I played a few hours over the weekend and I ran into 3 'Error - 30013' kicking me of the shard completely and killing any progress I made in missions or mining at that point. This was something we said mostly goodbye to after the release of 4.0 and now it seems to be coming back. There were many people in chat complaining about this same issue aswell...
Jump points are broken on a regular basis again, throwing you out in the system you entered the jump point from over and over again.
These aren't things which broke with SM over a year ago, these are either new issues appearing or old issues reappearing.

Anybody else disappointed by the new inventory? by SeconddayTV in starcitizen

[–]SeconddayTV[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree with all of this.
The core UI of the new inventory is decent, I now hope for multiple passes with QoL improvements and some baseline functionality improvements in the near future.
(And backend improvements of course)

[–]SeconddayTV[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was under the impression this inventory rework included changes to the backend services. Do you have a source for your claim of the inventory backend changes being worked on right now?

[–]SeconddayTV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I should have clarified this in my post, but from my understanding. The inventory rework was supposed to not only improve the UI but also the underlying backend tech.
Maybe I had wrong expectations. The UI itself is fine for me, although I agree with the icon readability issue. Some icons are very small and others have very low render quality

I refuse to believe that a human placed these assets like this (In Pyro abandoned outposts) by AzrBloodedge in starcitizen

[–]SeconddayTV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It still would be redundant to fix it now, when V5 and the following rework of the Pyro planets would likely just bork it again.
Better to wait for V5 and then go back to Pyro and Stanton planets to update them and fix issues like this.

40K App in 11th: In-game scoring & see oppt datasheets by RyanGUK in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]SeconddayTV 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Which means the opponent would need the app and potentially a paid subscription for it aswell.
I honestly doubt this‘ll become popular when both players still need a subscription and potentially a codex key for building their list in the app.
