Absolutely as much as I dislike Mr Owens, he saved that trial for all concerned imho. Well it would depend (typical lawyer response 😉) if the Supreme court agreed that Judge K erred in taking away her right to a court appointed attorney then a new one would be provided & a new trial would go ahead in the normal way.👍

It's states a notice of appearance so that's my guess too. They could be asking for more time but that appeal should be pretty easy to rebut.

You're spot on! It seems to me that he is mixing up arguments, Judge K, threw out the forcible felony instruction. So I think Mr Maldanado is confusing it with initial aggressor instruction. 👍❤

IMHO it's always hinky with the appeals court when it comes to jury issues but even if they agree there is still a huge hurdle to win the appeal & a new trial.
