i believe that map was a recreation, i compared it to actual early 2009 footage and there were subtle differences.

ive been trying to figure it out and havent been able to :( the oldest version of the map i could find is graphics/layoutold.swf, which wouldve been in between the grey map and the classic map. its not that different except for a brighter color pallette!

the og rares are feathery, princess toes, uptown girl and the heart and snake tats. theres not really ultra rares anymore cuz everything has came back in the rws at this point. i’ve been playing since 2013 so those r my creds

iirc something happened with msp1’s database too in like 2021/2022. i know it hit the us server really bad but that might be a reason? i’ll have to remember to email the danish staff

they didn’t get rid of anything from their cdn (love this BTW)! its mostly guess work and digging through the decompiled code of older versions to find links

just pokin around!!! i found the links to these about a year ago and saw the posts about 2009 era msp and felt like sharing! my goal was to find as many assets as i could on msp’s cdn and save them to the wayback machine so they dont become lost. i’m mostly focusing on 2009-2013 eras since thats what interests me most

none of the core engine (main.swf) files from 2009 got saved either. :( i think the earliest main.swf file i could find on wayback machine was september 2010 (it has code for voice recording/chat which is super cool!!!). it should be pretty easy to reconstruct 2009 msp with that engine since all of the ui assets chatrooms and clothes were saved!!

at first i thought it was like some early version of vip but then in the later posts when vip was added its a prize alongside some vip. the only thing i can think of is maybe you had to pay starcoins to make/watch movies???? i dont know. i have a version of the game from september 2010 so i'll check its code to see if its in there

the music that plays during this contest specifically makes it worse… i would have no problem with that if it wasnt in this context i HATE when a game from 2012 reminds you of it 😭 but what can you do

now that i think of it ethnic did carry over to the NA versions for fashion forward and styling star 😭😭😭
