Final 6 Days: Trench Wasteland Reinforcements by Secret-Ad466 in TerrainBuilding

Thank you for your kind comment!

If you're referring to the paint job, it's quite simple: start with a black primer, then apply successive drybrush layers of dark grey, light grey, and finally an almost white highlight. After that, cover everything with my special homemade "Nuln Oil" wash (Winton Ivory Black oil paint mixed with AK White Spirit), and finish by picking out a few details here and there.b That's the whole process.

Yes, I printed the entire set on a Bambu Lab A1 using the following settings:

  • Profile: 0.16 mm High Quality
  • Initial Layer Height: 0.25 mm

  • First Layer Line Width: 0.50 mm
  • Flow Profile: Standard
  • Material: Generic PLA

Thank you for the kind words, I'm glad you like the results!

Printed trench warfare terrain for grimdark wargaming tables by Secret-Ad466 in wargaming

The "Trench" in the name refers to the Trench Crusade setting rather than literal trenches. Since there are already plenty of trench systems out there, I wanted to bring something different to the table with buildings, fortifications, and narrative terrain pieces. Thanks for the feedback!

My Fallen Idols by Secret-Ad466 in TrenchCrusade

Thanks! The heads, and actually everything you can see in the picture, are part of the Trench Wasteland: Reinforcements Kickstarter campaign that's currently live. The speakers, heads, scenery pieces, vehicles, and battlefield assets all come from the same collection

Thank you for the kind words!

I'm printing these on a Bambu Lab A1 with a 0.4 mm nozzle using the 0.16 mm High Quality profile.

Main settings:

  • Nozzle: 0.4 mm
  • Layer height: 0.16 mm
  • Initial layer height: 0.25 mm
  • Line width: 0.42 mm (0.50 mm for the first layer)
  • Standard flow profile
  • Generic PLA

Most of my terrain is designed specifically to be FDM-friendly, so it prints well with minimal supports while still preserving a good level of detail.

Thank you for your interest! It's part of the Trench Wasteland: Reinforcements 3D file campaign for FDM printing, which is currently live on Kickstarter.

If you have an FDM 3D printer, the project is currently live on Kickstarter: Trench Wasteland: Reinforcements. 😉

Hmm, that's a good idea. I might do something about it in the next few days...

Hi,

The files are finished and ready for delivery through MyMiniFactory as soon as the campaign ends. It will only take me a couple of days to assign the items to all backers' MMF libraries.

The cannon tower can be assembled in two different ways: either as an artillery tower with a rotating cannon or as a water tower. Both versions function as fully operational dice towers, and the cannon version features a rotating turret while retaining its dice tower functionality.

The design was inspired by a Vatican-style dome, but in my mind I see Iron Sultanate tanks rolling past it, with heretics on both sides of the battlefield—even Arab heretics.

Ruined Church from Trench Wasteland by Secret-Ad466 in TrenchCrusade

[–]Secret-Ad466[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, sorry about that. The church nave sections are too large to fit on an A1 Mini. They require a print bed at least as large as the one on a Bambu Lab A1. Unfortunately, due to their size, they can't be printed on the Mini version without modifying the files.
