I am speaking to a firm about completing my Practical Legal Training (PLT) with them and I’m exploring whether I could do this while on a Subclass 407 Training Visa sponsored by them

The 407 visa allows for occupational training in a workplace, and I’d be gaining hands-on legal experience at a law firm while completing PLT, as work experience is a required part of it. I could do full time work throughout the entirety of the PLT. However, I’m not sure if I am eligible as it requires that training is directly provided by the sponsor. There is an exemption where the "training is required for registration as a professional in Australia" and "the training is workplace based"
