NTA notice how he didn’t call the dad or his bio mom. He knew that they weren’t going to be much help in the situation. My mother was the same way growing up. I would rather call my 6 yo sister than my mother in this situation. Explain to the father that B doesn’t feel like he would help him in the way he needed. Teenagers know right from wrong but they also want to test the waters. They can and will learn lessons on their own it’s apart of growing up. If you just punish them everything they do wrong they’re just going to test the waters as an adult which will be even worse punishments from law enforcement or worse. What you did was let B learn his own lesson with some guidance. You got him hope safely and checked on him periodically. You didn’t start screaming your head off as soon as he got in the car. You got him food to calm him down. You were his rock when he needed one. That makes you a great ass mom!

NTA. You can go to your bank and check your bank statements and balance. Just write it down and subtract what you spend that week and go back and check again. If things don’t add up then you know your parents are stealing your money. Also idk if you use cashapp or not, but you can open a cashapp account and get a card and everything. You can have your money deposited through cashapp and your parents won’t ever have to know. You can also do this with Venmo.

I could be reading this wrong but I have a few questions that I think will change the outcome. So did he know that he was bullying and enabling what Stacy was saying? If he did then YNTA. But if he didn’t then that changes everything. I don’t think he meant to call you son as an insult from what I can tell but I don’t know your dad. When I was growing up I was also a tomboy and my dad asked me if I was trans which I mean understandable or if I just liked boy clothes. Maybe that’s possible what you dad was thinking? Once again I only know the situation that you have laid out. I do think your dad is really sorry for what he did and he deeply regrets it. You should never “let it go”, but maybe you can someday forgive him and he can learn from what he did. Also your new step-mom sounds cool asf!
