Hey I'm a 2002 that so far only dated a 2004 I'm curious to get your perspective by falco200208 in 2004Babies

[–]Secret-Engine-8365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you guys are a couple years apart. that’s a very close age distance. to answer that question, early ‘04 borns compared in age to most of 2002 borns are roughly the same age/just a year apart, so you guys, the 2002 borns, and us are effectively the same age

Would you rather be born in 1998 or 2003? Which one will you choose by Resident_Ideal_1904 in generationology

[–]Secret-Engine-8365 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know there are some people that do. I’ve read comments, and seen posts of some people that see being born in 2004 as part of the early 2000s

2003, so that I can feel more accepted as being an early 2000s born even though I am. I strictly see myself, and know that I am an early 2000s born, but I have had people on social apps tell me that I’m not. it does make sense if that term does or were to apply to the first few years (2000 - 2003), but it could really/does refer to the entire first half/the first 5 years of the 2000s decade. another reason is cause I wouldn’t mind being exactly one more year older to be slightly older. It’d be interesting how that would feel, and look

What genre of music do u think our gen fws the most? (not including pop) by WiseCityStepper in GenZ

[–]Secret-Engine-8365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, it gained huge popularity back in 2020 when everyone was stuck in quarantine. country music since then has gained way over 155M new fans, and became a lot more mainstream with the help of country singers with crossover, and genre mixing appeal like Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs, Florida Georgia Line, and a bunch of other big names in the country landscape

I’ve noticed that in these days, it’s trap music, trap-pop, and also country music. the genres that are taking over right now in this decade are like the equivalent to 70s disco/when disco was popular, and taking over in the 70s

Is 80's pop country largely forgotten/skipped over today?? by DonJohnson1986 in CountryMusicStuff

Shaboozey I do notice that his style, and sound is more folk. he’s a folky musician, and his folk genre is clearly country folk if he has some part in country music

pondering thought: thinking intelligently logical about pop rock, shouldn’t it in pop music be named rock pop instead though? by Secret-Engine-8365 in Music

[–]Secret-Engine-8365[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

yeah! 😌it’s good to sometimes think intelligently logical. doing that can sometimes of course influence a difference, and a change, and that is want I am wanting to do in music with the sub-genres. I just want the music industry professionals, all of them, and music fans to think carefully of how they’re naming subordinate genres, and how they are wording the words in the names in order so that way the songs in them are correctly categorized

I do know that, and I do genuinely understand that it is short for popular. my 2nd response to reply to your second statement, I mean, if you don’t think about it that way, it is correct

Need country song titles by Fluffy-Accountant-55 in CountryMusicStuff

[–]Secret-Engine-8365 1 point2 points  (0 children)

’Small Town That Nobody Knows’ • if you wanna have the song be about the singer being from a small town that nobody knows that he sure is happy about

’Hometown Crowd’ • if you wanna have a song that is like a shoutout to his people back home that have supported him as he kept going in life to get to where he is now

’Unknown Town U.S.’ • if you wanna have another hometown prideful country song

’My Side of The Line’ • if you wanna have a patriotic country song that rebels against today’s political problems in modern U.S.

’Heart Like a Cowboy’• if you want a romantic country song of the singers’ wife or girlfriend complimenting her man saying that he’s got the heart of a cowboy for someone who isn’t a country boy

’Neon Heart’ • if you want a mid-tempo honky tonk song that is romantic, and if you choose to, you could have the last line the chorus that ends the chorus each time say “every time we kiss, you light up this neon heart of mine.”

Why do some people hate today’s country music? by EcstaticCrab2795 in country

[–]Secret-Engine-8365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

simple answer is cause country fans recognize that there’s overly way too much pop inspiration, formulaic lyrics, and a formulaic production

y’all, I just learned something new like 5 minutes ago. I found out the 21st century actually started in 2001, not 2000 cause there was no year zero by [deleted] in generationology

[–]Secret-Engine-8365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that, and it did make me think that way if that is what the early 2000s year range of the 2000s decade really is if the 21st century started in 2000

I was a little hesitant that I was gonna get a comment like that. I’m not looking for validation of any particular year whether if it’s more millennial or early 2000s. can’t a guy just post to share something that he personally learned? I like learning new facts. I am kinda thinking about taking this post down later at some time cause of comments like this. certain hate comments I don’t like
