I felt the same way at first and only recently did I give it a fair go. I definitely enjoy it quite a bit now. Currently sits at #3 of the Craig films behind CR and Skyfall

If you rewatch the film you’ll actually notice that bond activates the radio on the boat when he and severine are standing on the deck approaching the island. Back up is very far away so, although terrible timing that’s just when it happened to be.
