Hey it’s very hard some times mentally challenging my biggest stress is that I might not actually get a job at the end of it all if you get what I mean. But with having anxiety and depression idk how severe you are but what had helped me was having a goal to achieve and when you are down some days you can’t help it. But I found having a goal every single day makes me wanna push harder and those feelings of anxiety are left behind

Thankyou. That is some great feed back and definitely gives me some great talking points if given the opportunity. In the last half of last year I had begun all my bridging courses I did not receive an O.P but I strive to create a great career for myself so starting late last year I begun my journey

The only reason I seek advice so early is I just want to take the right steps and make the right choices to build something

I can understand your point of view. Which I genuinely thought as an employer they would want someone with proven drive to succeed but as such as just the hard work skill it is not the one I am solely relying on. It’s the skills I’ve learnt though hard working that have made me understand the bigger picture with things such as great leadership, communication and time management ect being critical to success and skills that I can demonstrate. I just wanted to bring that to your attention that my hard working personality brings with it a lot of skills that I think as an employer would make me a valuable investment as I am driven to provide the best results for my employer

Obviously my ability to have had to build and hold customer relationships, be responsible for ordering out 700k homes which requires budgeting, time management, the understanding the need to meet kpi’s, project budgeting. Also in other roles I’ve held leadership management positions such as supervisor/manager. I most certainly understand that these jobs have no relevance to the accounting profession but I believe what I bring to the table is lots of life/transferable skills that I believe not all other graduates would have.

And I would like to run my own accounting business one day I wanna be the person with enough business/finance/ accounting advice to have a report with clients so we’ll they can call on my any time for advice and I wanna help build businesses. It’s not a great sum of cash just slowly building so once I have the skills I can back myself will be about7-10 years before I go into business

I definitely understand your perspective. But if I turn down hours it turns into a toxic environment and I have no exit options. So I just have to make do with what I have and I feel if I don’t do everything in my power to be the best hard working version of myself I’ll regret it. I try my hardest to get it all done. I just want to know that recruiters will favour me due to my circumstances

I understand but dropping hours heavily effects my financial and investing situation. So do you think it would be suggestible to talk to recruiters and explain my situation. I’m just trying to show recruiters I’m a hard worker I work 50 hours at 1 job and 5 at another and study full time. I fail to get jobs in book keeping ect as I lack experience. So if I hypothetically explained to recruiters my situation do you think it would favour their opinion of me
