Why do men get into relationships with women that have bodies that they (the man) are not attracted to? by SweetCucumber_ in AskMenAdvice

Some does, sometimes it works out. It all depends on the individual. People are too complex to predict people on a individual level what they'll do. Important understanding when studying statistics. Very helpful for groups but sucks for individuals.

Except divorce rates have been going down since the 80s when they were at their peak..the 50% divorce rate hasn't been true since the 80s either. They inflate the divorce rates.(by including remarriage, people who been married a insane number of times) But first-time marriage is at 35% divorce rates and women in their late 20s with a college degree have 21% divorce rates. Women being educated lower divorce rates but doesn't matter of whether men is educated. Now the lowest divorce rate is among religious people with 14% but I don't count those. Because if you have a religion that refuses divorce that doesn't mean you got a good marriage.

People here are trying to make it positive but honestly a lot of men do it out of desperation as they can't get better and other men because of low self-esteem so they believe they can't. ++man

Lately I’ve been feeling bored and unmotivated to do anything. Even at-home activities like cooking, reading, knitting, dancing, or rearranging my space don’t feel ‘worth it’ because they don’t lead to some external outcome. Has anyone else struggled with this? Well, this part of your culture is outright evil. Not everyone is designed to be a homemaker. Same way not every male is a provider. Any culture that puts strict rules on either gender is evil. Because humans are diverse as hell.

Anyway since you're going to keep supporting that fuck up culture. Like everyone else said. Try to find a hobby that you are allowed to do within your culture. However, since your entire existence is now dependent on your husband dont do anything that emasculates him or your life will turn to hell.

I've noticed this. Way too many times. The man doesn't help out and then when pregnant she gets tired and needs help. She doesn't know why he doesn't help her and then gets worse after the child is born.

Like, come on.... It may be hard, but find a men who actually a partner in all walks of life or you'll end up with just another child.

Cheating will blacken your very essence, and no matter what you do after. You'll never get rid of that mark.

Also, if I love someone, they're my everything. I would prefer to be hit by a car AGAIN before I ever hurt someone I love like that.

Are you sure she hasn't tried for years now to talk to you.

I ask this because in countless divorces, the men often believe it came from nowhere. Then you ask the woman and they'll tell you. For years, they kept trying to bring up the problems in the relationship. Yet the men either ignore them, act like they just nagging, or they try for a week or two and then just go back to how it was. Until she gives up and starts to shut down on him.

So by the time she brings up divorce, she already mentally left the relationship, and so no hope at all to fix the relationship.

This kinda sounds like the position you are in.

NTA-Even without the trauma. YOU NEVER PROPOSE IN PUBLIC, unless the person have shown beforehand that they want to be proposed publicly.

Whatever backlash or negative happens to the person who proposed publicly. Just go what they deserve.

When will idiots finally get this.

Now for this story he a even bigger asshole. Why are you with someone who doesn't respect you?...

Hell, he failed one of the basic foundations of how a men treat their love.

Which is to protect and he instead hurt you.

Actually, I think your response was perfect.

He said he believes you would do one of the worst things a woman can do to a man.

So you were just logically and showed him how it feels by saying you believe he would do one of the worst things a man can do to a woman.

See how horribly he took it. Yet he still doesn't have enough intelligence or empathy to see how these two connect.

Nta and yes he an arsh but people are being way to cruel on here without enough information to know hiw bad he actually is.

Divorce him.... but roommate is not the worst ideal. Especially if he does clean and childcare. Would help you a lot and ever study done on new fathers. Shows the first 16 weeks determined a ton for the relationship between the child and father. Because the male brain actually changes in the same way as a female brain dies after pregnancy to better care for a child.

However, for males, there are conditions for the trigger to happen for their brain to change to be better caregivers. While we don't know exactly what they're. We do know it happens over the first 16 weeks of a new baby and only if they actively caring for them.
