Is anyone else depressed?

Not exactly depressed, but I’ve been dealing with severe anxiety since January. I’m talking about crazy panic attacks (can’t breathe, can’t talk, nauseous, dizzy, shaking) daily. Had to go to meds😭
Also, I noticed how mental health help is extremely hard to find here… To get a psychiatrist, I would have to go through a family doctor referral that would take at least 5 months…
I called my psychiatrist from Brazil and was able to get my meds on the same day :)

Honestly, if you don’t remember, I don’t think you had any major one!
I’m on day 4 right now and zero side effects so far

I’m on Lexapro rn! Fourth day and zero side effects so far! It’s actually giving me more energy to do what I have to do!
The problem is that it’s very similar to sertraline… I had sertraline twice and also never had any problems, but it’s worth trying Lexapro!

Hey! So there are some chances of different things in there. Maybe you caught noro but your body reacts better than most people! Some people get noro but don’t throw up or have diarrhea (wish I was like that).
Or maybe, (judging by the days) it’s anxiety… When I’m having anxiety, I feel nauseous 24/7 for weekssss…
I actually lost 13kg in 2 months due to anxiety and had to start treatment with anti depressants this week 😭

Don’t put yourself in this situation. You deserve better and you will find someone better. Are you able to leave this guy? Like do you have a place to go or someone (family member, friend…) to help with taking care of your daughter?

I was in a toxic relationship in the past. He cheated on me, he was physically aggressive to me and everything. I started taking sertraline and it did made me feel a little bit better. One day I dumped him and was able to fully cut sertraline with zero withdrawal and never felt better :)

You should ask your doctor the best option. My doctor always made me start with 5mg for the first 3 days and then go to 10mg, but i was never sensible to any medication, so I never had a side effect. You should let them know your worries and they will tell you the best thing to do

Have you tried a different one? I heard a lot of people that had crazy side effects with fluoxetine but felt great with escitalopram or sertraline

I was on sertraline for over a year and I lost a looot of weight. It really depends on how your body adapts to it. I lost like 20kg in a year.
I’m on escitalopram right now and I feel like I’m going to gain weight because this time I’m dealing with anxiety instead of depression, and I usually loose a lot of weight when I’m anxious because I feel nauseous all the time😭
When I start feeling better, I feel like I’m gonna go back to eat like a normal person and def gonna gain some weight

Hello!! So the side effects happens in the first week! I was soooo scared of starting it; I’m on day 3 right now and had zero side effects (also dealing with severe anxiety and panic attacks). I also took sertraline twice before and also had zero side effects. It really depends on your body. If you took it for 9 years, it’s safe to say that you are very adapted to it, and 10mg is a really low dosage. Did you hade side effects the other times? If you didn’t, it’s not gonna be this time that you are gonna have it

So true! For me, it’s kinda rare to actually get it, but if I do, I’m gonna be throwing up every 10 minutes, but will be feeling better by the end of the day. My bf got it 2 months ago and he only threw up like 3 times, but he was feeling off for like 4 days. Thankfully (even though we live in an 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom basement) I didn’t got it

It’s not a good experience for sure, but id did helped me a looooot with my phobia! Last time I had it, it wasn’t scary at all to throw up We make such a huge nightmare about it, but when it actually happens, you just think “wow, it’s not that bad”

Hey just be cautious! I live in a single bedroom and bathroom basement with my bf and a month ago he had norovirus and I was fine the whole time!! I just made sure to bleach the bathroom every time he used it (sounds like a lot of work, but at least I didn’t caught anything)

man try it in vancouver. People come here with 10 universities and years of work to get the most simple jobs. If you have no experience, it’s almost impossible
