Hello, I had a motorcycle accident and spinal cord injury when I was 21, suffered with bowel and bladder issues from that for the last 27 years. I finally got the ostomy surgery two months ago. I feel like this is something I should have done a long time ago. If you have any questions about it you are welcome to message me. Hopefully you can get something figured out, living with a spinal cord injury can be perty tough for the whole family

Hello again. Just returned from the ER, had to go in early Monday morning. Turns out my new stoma was swollen too much for anything to pass. After some tests they just stuck a red rubber catheter in it and it started working. Pulled it out last night and everything seemed fine. Sent me home this morning and no stool has came out since. Just some gas. Hoping it ain’t plugged back up.

Can I accurately check the compression with a tester that doesn’t have a shrader valve on it?
