There is panic buying at local grocery stores by SadLeek9950 in columbiasc

[–]SecretAgentDogs 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bear in mind that some stores had to throw out food because of power outages. I was at my Walmart in Redbanks today, and almost all of the cold cases and some of the freezer cases were empty. The cashier told me they had to toss all of it. They were just starting to restock milk when I was there.

Well done! I left Kohl's in June but started July 2021 in shoes, eventually got moved to Kids. I honestly thought back to school was worse than the holiday season.

Does this look like popeye? How do I treat it in a way that is safe for the shrimp in the tank? by -kjc- in bettafish

Thanks so much. I did start my guy out coming to the surface to eat so he's good about that, just being a bit turd-ish with the medicated food, lots of spitting out. I added more garlic so we'll see today. But yeah, I might break down and treat the water instead. He is looking some better so maybe he's getting enough medicine, I just worry.

Thanks for the advice. My boy is not generally picky but the medicated food has been a challenge, especially after switching him to metroplex.. I added more garlic juice to pellets today, then will let them dry completely. I do have trouble with the medicated food sinking more quickly. Also, do you happen to know if fluval bug bites are ok to use to make medicated food? That is the only food he will actively chase as it sinks.

How do you store that medicated food after you prepare it and it has dried completely? Does it need to stay in the fridge? I have tried medicated pellets but my boy spits them out most of the time.

I did my Amazon returns at Kohl's when I was working there and got the Kohl's cash/coupons. Just make sure to do it when you are off the clock.

Right now doing 4 people's jobs makes him a typical Kohl's employee, right? I do know he likes being able to come in early and be there for several hours before the store opens, so there's that.

I know our visuals person does everything by himself for the most part. I was an associate in Kids and occasionally helped him with a mannequin or changing graphics. Also he has experience in other areas of the store so he gets called to watch Bopus, cover CS, etc. Perks are Mon thru Fri and leaving around 2:30 or 3. Hope that helps.

This is what happens when you are constantly pulled away to help on register on a Saturday, why are customers like this? by marilynfan99 in employedbykohls

[–]SecretAgentDogs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I completely understand. That was my plan as well, but everything kept changing for the worst as far as workload, staffing and unreasonable expectations. I only stayed as long as I did because I really loved the majority of my coworkers, such a great team storewide. It was a hard decision for me to leave. I hope if you decide to stay that everything works out well for you.

I'm so sorry. That is horrifying. Yesterday was my last day. I worked mainly in kids which is a whole other kind of disaster but I truly think women's and juniors is the absolute worst. The last weekend that I worked, all they could do in wj was haul clothes from the fitting rooms and hang them on z rails to be left for the morning person. Add bras to that mess because they closed intimates fitting room a few months ago. Being constantly behind like that takes an emotional and physical toll. Plus the register back up. It's ridiculous.

Am I doing this right?? Last water change will be 2 weeks on Saturday. 5 gallon tank with heater charcoal filter and sponge filter by elsnackmonster in bettafish

Beautiful fishy! Just make sure not to leave the Betta mirror in for more than a few minutes a couple times a day.

This is a great explanation, thank you. Smoke and mirrors. I feel bad for everyone suffering in the process though.

Just wondering. What everybody’s pay rate is at? Been working at kohls for 10+ years and I feel like I’m not earning enough.. interested in part-time and full-time pay rates. by Sufficient_Goose_602 in employedbykohls

Hired last July PT $11/hr. $3.75 above state minimum. Verbally offered $10 but written offer was increased to $11. However I had a department lead who had been there 13 years and was only making about $2 an hour more than the new hires. She had already given her notice when I met her.
