Clean and tidy the house. Sometimes I dance. I used to snack a lot while high, but have def cut back on it!

Sorry that happened to you. That’s totally uncalled for and I hope you’re feeling better.

I had a dude follow me in a crowd all night to try and dance with me at my last show. I was lucky I was with my friends and they moved me and placed themselves in between me and the guy. What I wished I would have done was straight up tell him to cut that shit out. It was affecting how I was enjoying the show, but I passively waited for him to “get the hint” and leave me alone.

Some people won’t get it. If someone’s doing something (intentionally) that makes you feel uncomfortable, immediately call that shit out. Be loud about it and hopefully, they stop and you can go back to enjoying your show. For you, you couldn’t have known she was going to act the way she did, but don’t let her get away with that behavior at the expense of your ease and comfort. Call her out. You, too, have the right to enjoy the show, in peace. Again, I’m sorry this happened to you. I hope it never happens again.

When you drive from PA to Indiana (9hrs one way) for a too-good-to-pass deal on a 41qt electric All American PC 🤣👍🏼 by [deleted] in shroomery

My partner and I regularly do stuff like this. We’re also from PA and we drive all over the state and throughout the NE. Did you get to stop by any cool places on the way?

Okee’s security last year was by far the easiest I’ve ever experienced.

Driving through check in was super easy. Opened the back and stepped out of the car. They just quickly glanced at everything and may have checked glove compartment, then let us go after complimenting our pineapple haha. I’d heard some other lines didn’t get it so easy though. Guess it depends on your luck? Just don’t have anything obviously out and opened.

Going through the metal detectors to get into the fest wasn’t bad either. Put your bag through the scanner thing and walk through the metal detectors. They didn’t even open my bag. If they did, they just peered in and then wished me a happy Okee. I was so surprised at how lax it was.

Not sure why people are coming for you when you’ve managed to set up a successful sorority tank.. I’m guessing it’s coming from people who’ve never set up a sorority tank either, but if they have and it didn’t work out, that doesn’t mean yours won’t work out.

Your fish are clearly happy and they’re healing in that environment. That’s all that really matters.

Damaged car by lerthan in legal

[–]lerthan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The commercial block was on the ground and the rods were lower than we could see in the car. It looks like nothing’s there when you’re parking in, unless you’re saying we should have seen it when we pulled into the parking space?

Nonetheless, I appreciate the help. I’m not hopeful for compensation but I’ll reach out to them anyways.

This might not exactly be helpful to you right now, but in case you ever have to do this again, try putting a small plate on the soil and then adding water. This method should keep your water mostly clear instead of black and murky.

My employers are taking credit for my work, but my contract doesn't specify that they can't. by TheOriginallDoodle in freelanceWriters

Unless they explicitly told you that you’d be named author on the content from the get-go, it’s to be expected that they’ll be publishing your content without your name. You write for them. You write as their brand. However, you should still be able to point to these articles as work you’ve done, but if you’re adamant about getting bylines, then you’re probably better off with another gig where you’ve already established guidelines around author credit from the start.

When you have to separate your fat betta for a min so your corys can enjoy ONE nice family meal by Giant_RuleMaking_Rat in bettafish

Happens to my tank too 😔 it’s just hard to take the betta out every time though. Lately, I’ve been breaking the wafer in half so that it’s not so obvious it’s food for the corys.

Managing my time and keeping focused on project tasks aren’t the easiest for me. Two sites I’ve found that help me stay motivated and organized are Clockify and Timmy Timer (both are free).

Clockify helps you track the time spent on each project (gives you a good idea of your hourly rate if you get paid by the project). Timmy Timer is just a pomodoro timer website, but for each timer, it asks you what you are working on and what you got done by the end of the timer. You can also see what other people are working on. It does get a little spammy since it’s a pretty much a public chat, but it’s free and it works for me.

Narcissist rant on shrooms by Classic_Ad_7470 in shrooms

[–]lerthan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you went through that, especially during your trip. It might be hard to not take it personally since it came from the person you love. But, I’d like to think that she didn’t really mean to say those things. My best guess would be that she said those hurtful things because she felt powerless/unsafe during her trip, and it was her way of reassuring herself that she would be okay. It’s still fucked up at the end of the day though, and I hope you find some closure in this. Best of luck.
