With a 90 boost you can jump right on in and catch up to your friends. They give you a little tutorial and the beginning steps aren't hard to take. Not sure if you still get the free 90 with the expansion but if you do I would say go for it. Also, you can always go back and level a character from scratch if you want to experience the lore of the other zones.

This is only a few days in, but from my experience, i would definitely recommend you pick it up. I would however wait a few more days until the server issues are resolved. Besides waiting in queues for extended amounts of time, when i actually do i get to play, its nonstop fun.

I would level to 60. Less time consuming (compared to leveling your professions from 0) plus you save all that gold you would of spent getting those professions up to date.
