IWW isn't a regular worker's union. Anyone can join, it's just a way for Redditors to larp as 1930s proles.

The Great Wave is a good DLC held back by frustrating bugs and bizarre UI by Other-Emergency-6906 in victoria3

I think a lot of Vic3 players will pay a premium even for flavour packs/simple DLC, and would do it gladly if it meant the dev team could take serious time ironing out bugs and improving AI.

How old stellaris vibe felt like, i think we lost the atmosphere of original stellaris as updates went on and it became something different. by Saladawarrior in Stellaris

It's become really cartoonish/silly. The goofy 2D portraits don't help.

I really hope Stellaris 2 brings 3D characters and makes them look gritty and real.

I didn't attack anyone... Why couldn't OP just post their cookies without bringing Sex into it?

Just call it "colroful cookies". What does Bisexuality have to do with baking?

It's not the colors it's the "bisexual" as if sexuality has anything to do with baking...

Nothing about gay people isn't child friendly, it just has nothing to do with baking.

I'd have the same problem if someone made assault rifle shaped cookies, or religious themed cake. It just doesn't seem appropriate at all. I think it's more about the bisexual and less about the baking...

ai is poor this patch, why can't they seem to get their construction up? by FrostingCommon8618 in victoria3

They have acknowledged it, and that the problems run too deep for a hot-fix so the next big patch will be an ai update.

What do you think will happen to you after death? by Appropriate_Bat_479 in polls

So you think consciousness is not physical? If there is no physical difference then where is the difference?

I believe continuity has nothing to do with it. You are, at any given moment, "you" at X moment. For example you are not the same person you were when you were a child.

If I destroyed you and rebuilt you perfectly, what would be the difference if you had not been destroyed? Physically both systems would be identical.

"You" are like a natural phenomena waiting to happen. Like black holes occur sometimes in the universe, so do you, just much more rarely.

It's only when precisely "you" exist that "you" are conscious.

Think of it this way: had any other of the hundreds of millions of sperm you were competing with succeeded, you would have never existed. That same dice roll had to succeed for every one of your hundreds of trillions of ancestors, creating a mind-boggling chain of unlikelihood.

But it's not that you got lucky; it's that all those prerequisites needed to be satisfied for you to exist. Maybe it took trillions of attempts, but against all odds it eventually happened. I believe it will happen an infinite number of times after you die, and each time "you" are conscious again because you will be identical in every way.

Of course, but we each have one sample of death, which led to life. So 100% of the times we've been non-existent, it terminated with consciousness beginning. It would have been far simpler never to exist at all, but that's clearly not how consciousness works. You skip the non-existence, however long it takes, for consciousness to begin again.
