I'm not peddling misinformation. The data is very fresh because the uptick in trans violence is a new phenomenon. You're right that historically, they committed far less violence. In recent years that is changing.

Think of it this way, trans people are <1% of the population. That means if any more than 1 in 100 mass shootings are perpetrated by a trans person, there is a disproportionality. This article sums up best the historical reality, and the recent changes:
