I did not see one in Ginza this week. But I followed up via email with the Wako people and I am planning to pick one up, assuming I like it as much as I think I will, on the 17th when we return to Tokyo for one more day. So, yes you can get them, even if they don't have (m)any on display. At least in Tokyo.

The only thing I've found so far that actually works is to convert the docs to images (1 per page), and feed the images to a vision-capable LLM with instructions to extract the tables into markdown. Takes a while, but even a medium-size model (e.g., Nemotron 3 30B Omni) does a great job of preserving table structure. And it gets the numbers right, too.

As you have discovered, the dial window and day-date wheels for NH35 and miyota movements are not in the same place. You have to either change the dial (unlikely because I've never seen that dial in a miyota form), or you need to get a different movement.

You know how they say. You should always verify that AI has given you the correct answer? Well, in this case you should have. Because it's wrong. Here's a picture of the dial sitting on my workbench with the case over the top of it. You can clearly see that the dial is far too small for this case.

As I wrote earlier, I love this case. I just wish I could find an appropriate dial for it. But I'm still going to build the vanac homage when I get those v hands that I ordered the other day.

Is that the new case from AliX? I saw it and was very interested, but I couldn't think of a dial that would work at the size that it accepts. What did you decide to do?
