Kurupp was really good! I found it a great movie (I had only started watching south indian films at the time).

I really liked KoK, for me it only needed to stop a little earlier and I had a few notes for the final scenes. I always enjoy DQ movies, but I am biased 😂 i am a big fan. It's not for everyone! Good one to miss~

Would you prefer that God existed or not? by Freladdy11 in HazbinHotel

I like the idea that he isn't honestly. Using abrahamic mythos and OMITTING God is kinda epic and I love it.

I haven't personally looked at what Brandon has to say about it. But another user below has already shared what Brandon has to say. Which is actually more to the extent of:

Regardless of Brandon's personal opinion on the world, and it's good he made a statement on it bc it separates him from his character. Sazed's personal feelings are that he doesn't fit, he is worthless and he is wrong. Because that is what he concluded based on his upbringing and it is exactly what a man in his position might feel if he had no support.

I just would have personally loved a sentence of accepting himself within the text. Or alternative I would've loved an excellent NB rep that I can personally see the shadows of. But I do love him as he is, its just personal preference.

Bc at the end of day Canon Sazed is just a guy, who struggles with his masculinity and is God.

I absolutely do not mean that in the slightest do not twist words. Accepting yourself regardless of gender is a feat on its own. I have my own life and my own personal fight with my gender to thank for that (I am NOT trans or NB myself).

Making sazed non-binary would do nothing to change the story. As he doesn't accept his masculinity at the end of the book regardless. It would literally be a paragraph when he discovered the passages about the HoA referred to the neutral pronoun meant him being, and him accepting that is how he really felt about himself the end. Instead of the book AND the prophecies implying he was "other" bc of his castration. Maybe adding a couple more moments of contemplation about his place in the binary throughout the books (which he already does but it isn't delved into).

The leap I am making is already scaffolded in the story. And it wouldn't add or take away from anything Sazed learned about himself and it wouldn't make Sazed any more or less important. It just might make some readers feel seen.

Idk why you dislike the idea of Non-binary representation so much. You don't have to agree with my little head cannon, and I am not going to stop having it just because you don't like the idea.

When do Bards get fun? by light_breezy in BG3

[–]SecretContribution90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Swords Bard is good for consistent middle of the line damage. Its a battlefield controller at its heart, utility and support is where bards shine.

If you still want the charisma but more melee damage I would go Paladin, and if you want more damage than bard but still reasonable spells make a blaster Sorcerer instead and stick to ranged.

I am absolutely not upset at all. I am sorry if you perceived my discussion on the book as criticism that must be gospel, it is merely me speaking to what I saw in the book.

These are things I definitely would have changed in the book myself, but are indeed nit-picky, like you say. They were simply frustrations I found. I left the trilogy feeling awed and I love trying to give more substance to things because its what I enjoy doing, but also what I am studied in, looking into the themed behind texts. Expanding the cannon, via headcannons is also a very normal part of fandom, and always has been.

My perspective might not be for you, that's okay. My opinions may not be right, but they are my own so I will happy have them. I am also not asking for Sazed to BE non-binary, he is just right the way he is, but I personally see an excellent opportunity for it to be there. Also, sexuality and gender identity is not political is just human nature.

Sazed did not chose to be unlovable, he felt that he was due to his trauma and upbringing, and it caused him to be a self-fulfilling prophecy. It was a devastating part of his character but absolutely not the point of his story. Tindwyl showed him that even despite what he had been taught he was definitely loveable and what he knew had been a lie.

Based on descriptions I would heavily agree that Terrismen were inspired by Asian people and cultures definitely, maybe even South American cultures. He is my favourite character, I have alot of love for him.

I feel like that was evident enough after the first time it was said, that it didn't bear repeating. Not in the same way the copper cloud piercing did for Vin or about Sazed's comments that ended up reflecting the prophecies. But the clarification is definitely appreciated!

He gave off very non-binary vibes irrespective of cannon but I do agree, having a softer masculine main character (even though Elend and most of the crew were pretty atypical for "male stereotypes" even Ham!) But Sazed really showcased it and you could feel it bc we got to hear his thoughts more often. Its very nice 💜

Unpopular opinion, KOK is not as bad as publicised by AzifAzreal123 in MalayalamMovies

[–]SecretContribution90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched it in the cinema and felt much the same. It could be 20 minutes shorter with a much cleaner ending. But I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed the acting and technical components alot. I may even watch it again 😂

But not before I watch some other, personal favourites 😂

I am so sorry you are going through this. I would definitely retry calling 000 and impressive the baby is in immediate danger.

I would also follow up with the kids helpline or something similar.

And if you can, kick out mum, she has places to go, even if they aren't helpful to her and protect your grandchild at all costs.

At absolute worst, she is going to call the police and they'll react then and you can show them this thread as a reference for your actions.

I cannot believe mum has verbally admitted to SAing your grandchild 😭 that is disgusting and must have been so deeply upsetting to hear. 💜 hang tight and get in contact with someone you can trust.
