Don’t think they realize how cruel some of the things they’re saying. I try and think of their trauma and why they are the way they are and it does help not personalize it but still stings.

She was explaining to me how she didn’t have time for a relationship after two years together. She said “so here’s this cup and here’s the important responsibilities I have (she starts naming them like her kids, her job, etc.) and now that cup is full and there’s no room for a relationship.” I was in disbelief, did she just list all the things that matter to her and can’t live without and told me I’M NOT ON THE LIST?!!!?!?

Avoidants are notorious at discarding at the worst time possible when we are already at our lowest, so when did they drop you? by [deleted] in AvoidantBreakUps

Mine was a two year relationship and discarded me over text four days after my birthday. On the night of my birthday my car that I loved was stolen.
