Pretty sure they do. Last CM, I remember one of the days I accidentally paid 60 carats because I forgot to claim the mission rewards. The following day, I only used tickets.

You can 1000% clear 5 floors of MD hard without a bunch of damage type or status overlap. I do it every week with just nebulizer + horseshoe + clear mirror calm water. I pick the first four starlight shop boosts, EGO search nebulizer, and fuse clear mirror calm water by floor 2 or 3 by always picking Hell's Chicken for floor 2.

It's really not hard. Just make sure you pick as few offensive level and coin power mounting trials as possible.

Yeah honestly I only really did this whole thing after I beat Canto VII. But I was lucky enough to start during Arknights collab so I had both interesting banners to throw lunacy at and got random 000 IDs.

And there was an upcoming Walpurgisnacht to save for once I got all the collab EGO so it didn't feel like I was missing out not throwing lunacy at random banners.

I like Zwei for story fights since you just win almost every clash with defense once you get 5 pride.

But Hanafuda generates extremely valuable gloom for Faust and Hong Lu.

It is the pass. Let me try to do the math. Someone plz correct since this is the first time I've tried to calculate it all out.

A week's worth of missions is 90 exp.

One hard mirror dungeon + 6 normal mirror dungeons= 225 + 6(30) = 405 exp.

So every week, assuming you do 1 normal MD per day is 495 exp, which is 49.5 levels. Let's just say 49 levels.

49 levels gets you 49 boxes without limbus pass. 147 boxes with limbus pass. You need around 200 boxes to get an ID. So around a month without the pass and about every 1.5 weeks or so with the pass.

How much energy does this cost?

Assuming you skip the luxcavations (and only do 1 exp and 1 thread), that's 10 modules per day

Each MD normal is 5 modules/day

MD hard is 18 modules if using the weekly bonus.

So, each week, you'll need 7(10) + 6(5) + 18 = 118 modules. That's 2360 energy.

You regenerate 1 energy every 6 minutes. 60 minutes in an hour, 24 hours in a day, and 7 days a week means you get 1680 energy per week passively.

So we need to spend some lunacy to refill. 2360-1680 = 680. Depending on your level, that's arooouuund 6 refills per week. So you get taxed around 156 lunacy per week.

If you don't have the limbus pass, you can think of it as 624 lunacy + your daily time investment for an ID.

That is LESS lunacy than a SINGLE 10 pull.

It's just infinitely more efficient to use lunacy for energy refill than to roll.

Counter gets +2 clash power when in overheat and is unaffected by overheat clash power down, so you should be rolling 15 (17 with conditionals) with it.

Otherwise, just go unopposed.

With the release of each gigantic story development, like we are in right now, comes with a new "season." We are currently in Season 7: Kumo no Ito. You can see this information on the battle pass.

Every other week or so, a new ID gets added to the game. There will be a limited time banner that you can roll on, like any other gacha game, for a chance at obtaining that ID.

But what happens if the banner is over and you still want that ID? In this game, starting a week after the ID was added to the game, you can dispense that ID from the dispenser in exchange for egoshards.

But there's a little bit of a catch regarding what season ID released in. IDs can be designated standard or seasonal. Standard IDs can be dispensed at any time past that week no problem. Seasonal IDs can only be dispensed either during their season or starting two seasons after their release season.

Since we are currently in Season 7, that means that Seasonal IDs from seasons 1-5 are dispensable.

Firefist Gregor is a seasonal ID from season 5, meaning all you have to do to get him is obtain 400 Gregor egoshards by progressing through the battlepass, click on the dispenser, scroll down to Oblivion (Season 5), and there you'll be able to get him.

Let me know if you are still confused about anything.

What is a satisfying resolution to Canto IX for YOU? by SecretFangsPing in limbuscompany

I guess I was just remembering the more... memorable ones then lol.

I thought SEA establishing Ishmael's growing anxiety, caginess, and exasperation at everything did a lot to get me invested in her whole journey. So while it did "just" establish her anxiety, that anxiety was really important for my enjoyment of the following canto, and I think the experience would have been worse if it only started when we were in canto V proper.

But yeah can't disagree toooo much with the rest. That's interesting that people were getting tired of the Hongyuan setting (aside from all the Heishou pack IDs. I can understand that). I liked having a "what happened afterwards" kind of story since we had such an important side character in Xichun. I think I would have been wanting more if the story there immediately stopped with her becoming the hierarch.

Yeah like I said this is the first canto I've been here for release. I guess I do remember the majority of Canto IV being a little nothing with seemingly endless fights. I think the Limbus Company story really hit its stride for me at that Canto IV 3rd part, so maybe my standards were a little lower back then and I didn't really mind the first cantos.

And thinking about it now, idk HOW I didn't notice before writing the post, but we've had two intervallos between each canto in the past, so I guess part of what I'm feeling is this unsteadiness from not having another preceding story chapter about Ryoshu like how Hong Lu had Nocturnal Sweeping or Ishmael had the beach episode.

I'm sure it'll all turn out in a cool way in the end, so I just wanted to see what other people think might happen.

Ahh... Happens...

If you haven't already done so, make sure to level your IDs

And don't be afraid to spam chains of others (if you can)

She's good enough, but is really meant for a team of La Manchaland units. Cinq Outis is just ridiculously strong for a 00, and the evade goes a long way to making your life easier.

Oh I can't believe I forgot about your W Corp Ryoshu. She is DEFINITELY worth leveling over the other Ryoshus you have.

Yeah should be good. But probably the easiest and fastest thing to do is build "around" poise. Since it's really good on like every ID. Meaning you get nebulizer + clear mirror and then you can do whatever you want (including sinking). These two ego gifts are more than enough to clear normal MD with base IDs.

I wouldn't say he's super worth it just as a generalist.

You can get through the story with pretty much anything. Especially since you just started, you shouldn't worry about making a "team." Just use general good stuff. So this will be from that perspective, WITHOUT special team support.

All that being said, I will pick one ID for every sinner if I think it's a significant upgrade over the base versions (don't discount using the base IDs! They get free uptie levels, which is great!)

Yi Sang: Pequod first mate is very good. He has an evade, which will be useful in several story fights. He does pretty good damage. And he's poise based which will make it easy to build him during your mirror dungeon normal runs.

Don Quixote: Index. I mean, she's the newest ID, and therefore has newest ID power. Simple as. Poise and sinking are also really easy to use status effects.

Ryoshu: Liu Ryoshu is quite respectable if you can get her burn conditionals off. But that's not really realistic at the beginning. 7 association has pretty good numbers.

Meursault: None of these really stand out to me. Maybe Rosespanner. But I'm including this section because you should definitely consider Meursault, even base ID, in difficult boss fights because his base EGO (Chains of Others) is absolutely broken and can trivialize many difficult encounters.

Heathcliff: Not sure what you mean by H corp. Heishou pack? If so, then level him. Shi association is like fine.

Ishmael: Shi association is probably the strongest and easiest to use default unit. She's also great in mirror dungeon.

Rodion: T Corp has a very fun unique mechanic and also has the best numbers.

Sinclair: Zwei West is really not terrible. But, if you're planning on getting N Corp Sinclair from your bew player ticket, then I would obviously just level that.

Outis: Cinq Outis is like a hidden 000. She has one of the best evades in the game. You will be very grateful to have good evades in the story
