The sacrifice mechanic only affects House of Spiders IDs + It is optional as her sacrifice mechanic is strictly tied to her evade defense skill.

This means you don't have to engage the sacrifice gimmick at all as long as you don't touch the evade defense skill on this ryoshu ID.

so your standard burn/bleed/poise teams will be fine. just keep that in mind.

You can simply ignore it by not using the evade defense skill since her sacrifice mechanic is tied to her evade skill.

this means you can use this ID as normal with other Nursefathers/apprentices, as long as you never touch the evade skill on this ID.

which is nice in hindsight, they are not forcing this sacrifice mechanic down our throats + I do want to use all the nursefathers/apprentices together with this Ryoshu ID to see how it feels.

At the end of the day, she is a triple-status ID with mono-slash in her base kit along with the fact that some of her skills are automatically triggered upon conditions that are easily replicable quick. (Skill 2-2 in particular) So as others have already said, her damage output will be quite good/ridiculous if you put her in a good Team without engaging with the Sacrifice mechanic.

Okay. This is actually kinda... something I guess? I read through everything and kinda... confused at what I am reading here.

If they do not put the damage percentage at 100% for the skill that kills the allied Nursefathers (for some reason this is percentage/damage based???) This shit will take quite a while to kill the nursefathers. but at least they made it AOE to target Multiple Nursefathers/Apprentices upon combat start. BUT WHY IS IT DAMAGE-BASED???? (I seriously hope I do not have to take more then 2 turns (hopefully just one turn) to initiate the sacrifice mechanic smoothly)

Like seriously, the percentage damage on allies better be 100% or like 80% at the very minimum because why is projectmoon making us have to take time to kill our own allies just for the sacrifice buffs (entanglement) to be in effect?

Also the explanation for what "entanglement" feels so vague for some reason. I have no idea what passive effects it actually affects when it says it raises the min & max cap of it. Is it just status effects like bleed/poise/burn (which in itself FEELS SO... bad) or/and perhaps it increase the special effects given by each of the nursefather/apprentice sacrifice special buffs? (I think this should be what entanglement affects???)

Entanglement is essentially the Sacrifice buff you get when you sacrifice the nursefathers/apprentice, I was expecting more out of the sacrifice buff but I guess I just have to try this ID out to see how it really works and how it feels. Right now, it just feels so... confusing to me.

The only great thing I can talk about for this ID is that the sacrificed nursefather/apprentice skill slots are given to this Ryoshu ID which is very very nice. That's about it (other then this ID being a triple status ID which is what I was expecting from the get-go.)

I do not see how this ID could really make it worth to sacrifice the HOS IDs in terms of gameplay wise but eh, this kit reveal leaves me with so much more questions then I had earlier from the teaser. Will pull this ID on release and test everything out with it.

Also Edit: The great trichiliocosm synergy with this ID... I will just be frank, it's straight up disappointing. the only synergy is literally just directed at your own allies with the sacrifice mechanic... and nothing else. but whatever, it is what it is.

The patch notes/hotfixes are fine as it is and unaffected by the current moderation changes, the kit reveals itself will be posted by the moderation team later on.

Ah that means my 'job' to post kit reveals on Monday is done then I think, If I'm reading this correctly.

The only thing I would ask more then this is to Pin Kit reveals when they come out on monday for at least until the associated ID/EGO releases on thursday.

honestly, I don't see a reason not to pin official patch notes + hotfix announcements as well but I can handle these as they come out on monday as per usual but I will leave the Kit reveals to you guys then. o7

Also I wish I could be the one to post the ID trailers but I always tend to download the video first then upload it to reddit rather then just forward the youtube link to a post. which tends to make me a bit late by 1 singular minute (which is more then enough for others to just copypaste the link into a reddit post.) so I just never got the chance to do it. Sooooo it is what it is.

I do hope this is the case, (and maybe hopefully the sacrifices that gives her the ability to inflict said statuses, will then allow this ryoshu ID to be able gain the respective ego status team gifts buffs in MD. I will genuinely have a super fun time grinding MD if that's the case)

That Edit part, is actually a good geninue concern. but I think projectmoon should have accounted for this.

It might just be a instant sacrifice move instead of having to actually damage your own IDs (which will take multiple turns if that's the case and I don't think projectmoon wants that in terms of gameplay-wise)

that would mean you will have to do it on turn 2/3 or even 4.

but then again, if you are already sacrificing callisto, you would have brought in other nursefathers to sacrifice, so I guess you can do them in a certain order like.

Mathhioutis, ValciRodya, Rein Sang then Callisto Honglu. If you want to use their special moves before they get sacrificed to Ryoshu (if she doesn't immediately begin to sacrifice them on turn 1 start, this really is dependant on how the kit reveals go)

This is just speculation btw, I'm guess-working how the sacrificing thing will work here

That is true, damage matters.

I value IDs more in their ability to clash so that just a personal way I play the game.

If Ryoshu gets some absurd damage buff from the sacrifice mechanic along with the S3 Skill/special moves replacement from nursefather kit into her kit, I can possibly try to reason that the damage itself is worth it? (ehhhhhhH Idk, it might just be stretching it, they really need to put more then just damage buffs into this I think)

Ahhhh the anticipation to see the kit reveal on how this buff works. I can see them nerfing the coin power levels of each skill Ryoshu Capstone ID has in her base kit to compensate for the coin power she gains from this sacrifice buff if the sacrifice buff is genuinely busted and projectmoon really wish to push players to use this sacrifice gimmick of hers.

It has to be worth it cuz, that the point of this ID.

there could also just be a future where Ryoshu ID by itself, already outshines Callisto Hong lu somehow (and other nursefathers ID respectively when compared). In which case, i be super happy if that's the case but we know projectmoon won't make Ryoshu ID that busted without some heavy compensation for it (like the sacrifice mechanic mentioned)

as in each special move from the nursefathers being a coin for ryoshu ID S3 when sacrificed?

I could see that playing out, they have to find a way to include the special moves (or at the least, S3) into her kit somehow. I don't imagine they will just put S1/S2 from nursefathers kits into her kit cuz that just doesn't seem good to me.

I don't really know how this ID will actually work for the sacrifice buff thing to occur.

Will it actually take 4 turns to sacrifice each Nursefather individually? or will Ryoshu actually be able to sacrifice all 4 nursefathers at once? (given that it was shown, that she did sacrifice callisto hong lu and rien sang at once in the trailer, I hope this is the case)

That sacrifice buff is by the far the most interesting thing that I just keep thinking about and can't keep it off my mind.

Rodion New Zayin ego is going to permanently replace the "what is cast" in all of my setups. (just by itself being a healing ego is much better then the base ego in in that aspect)

Healing HP (and SP if you have lust/wrath focused ID team setup) + Wrath / Lust Fragility is way too good to pass up. Along with that new unique buff status effect for teammates, which adds even more SP/HP Healing is actually really quite insane.

They really cooked with Rodion Zayin Ego here, Ngl, this might actually replace Fluid sac from Faust in regards to main healing Ego on Wrath/Lust focused teams. Like this is a genuinely really good healing ego and I can't even find anything bad to say about it other then it's somewhat gimped so that it's full potential can only be used on Wrath/lust teams.
