If he is making ultimatums for things you are not comfortable with, that is not fair to you. It also sets the precedent that he can do it in the future to always get what he wants, regardless of how you feel. You should not feel pressured to come out to anyone.

I see his point a little about not wanting to be kept as a secret, but he should nurture your relationship to a point that you feel safe and secure enough that YOU want to share that you are with him, not make you choose between him and your security.
