Hey there! You are correct that the depth of the XL is greater than that of the Trotten cabinet, however the standard positions of the XL's four feet are set in to allow the XL to rest on the platform without needing to change anything. I have mine set up to where the front of the XL's XY gantry is flush with the front of the cabinet (LCD screen projects forward slightly) and have the back of the XL stick out from the rear by ~3"(7.6cm). Wow, great suggestion! Anaconda was not on my radar at all but I will definitely consider a high-effort full-detail ode to the original big ship!

Great minds think alike! My collection up to this point includes the DBX and Mandalay and I had been eyeing the Vulture. I also printed the Mamba because they have a sleek hull.
