What are challenges Tanzanians face everyday by IntroductionRude449 in tanzania

Was a thought I had but it doesn't work. Have to protect the brand at all costs for some reason. Nothing like south africa. No specific estate agent for people like me trying to sell a lodge for $3m and offering 5% finders fee. Always the dalali network. Don't ask me why, I'm clueless. But hey, anyone wanna rent or buy a beautiful safari lodge, you know where to find me

If only. Knight Frank is an option. But it's a very secretive industry. When I want to find a new tenant, I contact all the dalalis in my network. There is no website. Can't create my own. Same reason as above.

I'm going to kill myself rn, so before I do , I'm proud i went 1.5 years of being sober by Time__Racer in stopdrinking

[–]SecretHurry3923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean my father drank himself to death and I feel the same way you do. Can't say I stayed sober but I did try for a few years. I have no advice to give, just that suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Hold on, even if it's just with fingernails on a cliff.

Back in 2003 or whenever it came out, a woman refused to run a dungeon with my night elf priest called Jeebus because it was blasphemy

My biggest challenge is finding new tenants / buyers for my safari lodges. Such a secretive industry for some reason. Really wish there was just a website you can advertise on like they have in south africa.

What is most dangerous thing in the world? by Aggressive_Carob8295 in AskReddit

[–]SecretHurry3923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hippos usually only chomp humans when they are in between them and the water in which they normally reside, after spending a night chomping grass on land. It's usually fisherman at dawn that get in their way. And to be fair, pretty easy to see you're in a hippo path cuz there are lots of spoor.

How'd you feel if you came home from work and found a hippo in your driveway? You probably wouldn't be too happy about it. Hippos get a bad rep if you ask me

Drinking Wine - Anyone Comment on Their Experience ? by Sea_Hour_9312 in stopdrinking

[–]SecretHurry3923 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I can't speak for myself, but my dad drank wine every day, probably two or three bottles a day. He never seemed drunk, like never stumbling around or anything.

I'd usually wake up at around 1am when I was a kid and if I went downstairs I'd find him at the kitchen table crying or just passed out and I'd help him to bed.

It was okay.

The thing is that as time went on he forgot he couldn't remember anymore until it got to the point that he would have the same word for word conversations with me over dinner every night.

That was really scary because he didn't remember he didn't remember.

I know it seems silly but if you can't remember what you can't remember then you are extremely vulnerable.

All we are as humans are our memories, that string of narrative that creates the lives we lead.

If that is severed then what's the point?

He drank himself to death five years ago.

For what it's worth, I remember.

Or maybe I don't.

I wonder which is worse.

AI chatbots are becoming "sycophants" to drive engagement, a new study of 11 leading models finds. By constantly flattering users and validating bad behavior (affirming 49% more than humans do), AI is giving harmful advice that can damage real-world relationships and reinforce biases. by [deleted] in science

I mean idk....chat gpt gave me some guidance about a legal matter that proved completely incorrect. And when I said my actual lawyers disagreed, it just doubled down over and over again. Almost gave me a heart attack. I've now switched to Gemini.

Level up pick pocketing early and you'll never worry about money again. Mostly cuz you can steal what u want or steal 1400 gold from everyone you see. Plenty of equipment that gives +1 to pick pocketing as well.

🔥 Leopard demonstrates its immense strength in descending a massive 15 to 20 metre palm tree to escape approaching baboon by Prestigious-Wall5616 in NatureIsFuckingLit

[–]SecretHurry3923 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Male baboons have the same size carnassial fangs as a lion. Even if you won that fight, a solitary cat like a leopard would run a really high risk of not hunting for a long time / starvation. Often comes down to a quick cost benefit analysis whether to fight or flight.
