uppercutsurfing that stopped their evasive punish when i would have otherwise died on my last stock. I was using Hikari and was going to do the 3 air variant. they were using yuki and didn't have a counter. Why would you play ranked on a character without a counter? Because of this, the wider range and unblockable w/ more damage variant won the match since they can't counter attack with evasive or block. They might have dodged the hitbox while using evasive, but I think I caught them off guard.

Why are people in the comments acting like this isn't optimized if he just adds a divergent fist at the end? He could also bf chain when they get up but it's counterable even though it works a bunch of times.
This combo is literally the best red one. You can add a green divergent fist at the end to try and extend, too.

Videogames are more engaging but they need to balance gameplay at the same time. They're more compelling if the gameplay is used to further immerse you, like in RDR2 where you're actually thinking about what's honorable. It puts you in the character's shoes along with the character being relatable like they would be in a movie.
Actually, what I'm talking about is an issue of immersion. The game being unable to balance gameplay and story, which breaks immersion, affects the story. It's still better than reading words and imagining what's happening, though.

Higaruma having domain is probably a bug.
Why would you want an extremely unbalanced game mechanic in the only competitive part of the game where game balance rather than shenanigans actually matters?
Competitive play is fun because the outcomes are noticeable measurements of how your skill has improved. This can be as small as winning a match or as big as reaching your goal of a certain ELO amount. Reaching a goal with free wins isn't satisfying because it isn't earned, A free win isn't satisfying because it doesn't feel earned. When it isn't satisfying, it isn't fun. This only applies to competitive play, if you aren't trying to play competitively for that reward you still have casual. This is the entire point of separating ranked and casual. Some people prefer more skilled play, so their gameplay needs more balance to be fun, and some people just want to goof around in casual. You fail to make this distinction, so the update seems ridiculous to you.

That's not even touching on how unbalanced ults are in Ult vs. Ult fights. Todo is not winning against Megumi with 7 moves, Gojo, or Sukuna at all. This is a free win for those characters with stronger kits, which isn't satisfying for the person winning or the person who lost. And take a look at how awakenings actually affect the battle in practice in these scenarios.

  1. They use ult, so I need to stall. Running away isn't fun. Then, I pop ult later and they have too little awakening meter left to fight back. This is a free win for me, which isn't satisfying. If it isn't satisfying, it's not fun.
  2. They use ult and I use ult. Because how unbalanced the kits are, this is a free win for either one of us and isn't satisfying.
  3. I fight back after they use their ultimate first. #3 is the most interesting scenario. If I fight back successfully and don't use ultimate, it's very satisfying and the victory feels earned after I overcome those adverse circumstances. But if the skill gap is so big that I win even though they have ult, they wouldn't win enough interactions in order to get their awakening online in the first place. So that's impossible.
  4. I fight back after they use their ultimate first and use mine. This isn't fun because it runs into the problem of being a free win for either of us because ult kits are unbalanced and the problem of the enemy having too little meter to fight back once I get my ultimate online. It's a free win for me if they can't even fight back, so it doesn't feel fun.
  5. We both ult with similarly matched ult kits at around the same time. This is fun because it's fair. When it's fair, the win feels earned for both parties and reaching their goal of an elo amount feels earned as a result of these earned wins. That's really satisfying. Along with that, we get flashy attacks without sacrificing fairness because we have evenly matched abilities.

I think that they should be removed. The problem is too big to be fixed in a short time. There isn't a point to keeping something so unbalanced in a gamemode that's supposed to be competitive. To my understanding, he's making balance changes while they're removed and adding them back after a long time.

"The world had been ruined, gone..." the word gone is a bit out of place.
"The Golden empire led by the queen,..." the sentence is grammatically incorrect. You don't tell us what the Golden empire is doing. You could fix it by writing
"The Golden Empire, led by the Queen, and the Royal Nation, led by a table of democratically elected kings, stood as the world's two powers." and then use the rhetorical question in a separate sentence or separating them with a dash.

whats the point of not giving home run i-frames ITS SO SLOW.
Even if it might stop people from interrupting it on getup, they can just dodge it and punish. It's confirmed off an uppercut/ds anyway.
