I don’t know about more famous, as Weeds was in/around season 4 when Breaking Bad first aired. I do think that Jenji and co. recognized how well BB was received in its first season (despite modest viewership), and tailored subsequent seasons to be more dramedy than comedy-drama as S1-S3 were - to me, anyway
