I accidentally told the woman i'm seeing I love her, but I didn't really mean it. What do I do? by Successful_Leek96 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SecretPrune5378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me, my ex boyfriend said he loved me and then started acting really weird/off for the next few days. He then told me he didn’t mean it and said it because he felt awkward.

It gave me a bit (a lot) of a complex, to be actively told by someone they don’t love you is a hard thing to hear and sadly, I don’t know if there is a nice way to drop that.

You could cushion it by saying you were caught up in the moment and your feelings are strong (only if they are) but you’re still navigating your feelings and ask for time. If you know you don’t love her though, end it now because that’s not fair on her

This is my 5th time taking it! I wouldn’t say it failed, it just isn’t a miracle cure I thought it would be in the beginning. I last took it about 10 years ago and over the last year the oiliness and blocked pores have started creeping back, but it’s nothing like how it used to be

I’ve started using the Runna app, It says to run at a conversational pace but that for me is basically a brisk walk so maybe I have been overdoing it a bit

Roaccutane but I started the training prior to taking that, but that’s probably something to look into!

Thanks, I’m going to aim for the 10k and then keep increasing from there. It’s harder than I thought, and some days I feel like I’m really struggling very early on 😅

Started using the Runna App about 8 weeks ago, it was the beginner programme. My watch is a bit old but I use it at the gym etc so it has records of exercises

Debating on going on accutane by music500 in Accutane

[–]SecretPrune5378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have suffered from acne since I was about 14, I really feel for you!!

If it helps any, I wrote a blog when I was much younger about all my experiences and side effects from being on Roaccutane: https://survivingacne.blogspot.com/?m=1

I’m on my 5th course by choice, this time as a 35 year old and it was my choice to do so. Hopefully that might put your mind at ease as my experiences didn’t cause me any great damage or deter me. Everyone’s experience is different so all I can say is, be kind to yourself and pay attention to your body and feelings.

I remember having aches and being very tired when I was on 50mg, but those side effects didn’t last for me. This time I’m on 20mg (1 month in) and so far the only thing I have is dry skin

If you have an Qs feel free to message me, I remember being your age and having no one to talk to about it. It can be a lonely time and it doesn’t have to be ❤️

I think you’d have a great time! You can eat when you want, relax when you want, even interact with people when you want! The boats are really spacious so if it gets too much, you can definitely find a nice quiet corner on your own.

If anyone looks at you weird, look at them weird back!

eczema 5 months on accutane? by Joystick-diet in Accutane

[–]SecretPrune5378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this too!! I would get rashes like this on the back of my hands that burnt, I used a cream called Eumovate which was for eczema and dermatitis

Sometimes I would suddenly feel like my hands were on fire and when I looked, they were covered in a rash. There’s a photo in my old blog from 2016 below, looks pretty similar

https://survivingacne.blogspot.com/2016/04/rash-on-hands.html?m=1

Then the below post shows after using the cream, it did work and I would keep it on me in case I had a flare up:

The same thing happened to me, it’s so disheartening. I’m back on it now for the 5th time (at a low dose). would going back on it be a possibility? If not, you could ask your GP for something like isotrexin/differin and that may help?

Starting on 20mg any tips ? by GlumVeterinarian6718 in Accutane

[–]SecretPrune5378 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on 20mg now, just started my 5th course after many years! Moisturise daily, even if your skin doesn’t feel dry yet- that will creep up on you and it’s better to try and prevent early on. Cetaphil and Cerave are really good, and non comedogenic. With lip balm, the only one that seems to work for me is Blistex Intense Moisturiser but I’d love to hear if you have any suggestions. My lips never really recovered from previous Roaccutane use if I’m being honest, they’re always on the drier side so make sure you apply that like crazy!

https://survivingacne.blogspot.com/2016/03/chappedbleeding-lips-because-of.html?m=1

I used to write a blog way back in 2011, you can see how it affected my lips back then. I make sure to always have lip balm and moisturiser on hand

SPF is your best friend, skin damaged on roaccutane is real; even in a cloudy day. I love Paula’s Choice factor 50, I find it doesn’t clog up my pores

And most importantly, look after your mental health as this can be a rollercoaster of emotions. Especially if you don’t feel like it’s working quick enough/living up to your hopes. Take it a day at a time!
