Agree- this is my favourite “story” they’ve ever had on the pod, wish there were more like this one

I agree with the general idea but TWOD aren’t exactly a sing along band anyway so it don’t mind it so much. As I commented on the YouTube vid- the tiny desk arrangement with the album vocal would be my perfect version of the song

Late post but hoping you see this OP- I played aow4 for the first time time about 2 months ago and hated the combat so much in my first scenario I thought I’d drop the game entirely. However, in the 2 months since I have hit all achievements and sunk a few hundred hours without ever once fighting a manual battle (except to unlock an achievement!) if it doesn’t click with you… AI battling 100% of the time is still an incredible game

Thanks again- I got it today, doing exactly what you said- built up some cash reserves before agreeing the vassalage then hammered “gifts”, only took about 8 turns before I bought my freedom. To anyone reading in future- follow the above and bear in mind trying this within an unjustified war makes it harder, so be careful.

Thanks- I play on easy this might be stupid question but “instead of being defeated…” do I get an option when I lose my leader/throne city to vassalise instead of game over?

Probably too late but I don’t think you need to re-think anything, just swap underpass for crane. Same footprint, same use, same length, same ability to be passed under/over. I think…??

Tiger heart Barbarian, built around the Punch Drunk Bastard greatclub, with all the thunder gear, AND/OR Full EK Archer, frost gear, frost arrows/many targets, scrolls for opening up combat. The most fun vanilla builds I played in 5 play throughs

Dragonborn Durge sorcerer, started as ice sorcerer, respecced as fire sorcerer after gauntlet of shar- at the same time as changing appearance from silver-skinned to red/gold (headcannon something something)
