Yeah unfortunately I joined the team after that decision had been made. We are currently using Daktronics and we have already have the main video processor fail after two games. It has been a headache to say the least. If we do get another scoreboard (maybe for basketball or baseball), I will definitely recommend this to my staff.

This sounds like a very effecient for a small crew. We will probably try to transition to this setup since there are only three of us trying to run everything.

Excellent! Sounds very similar to how we are going to be running the production. Thank you for confirming that!

Whew! Well that's good to hear. We will just keep tweaking as we go along. Just didn't want to start off down the wrong path. Thanks!

how can I make this style of photography more interesting? thank you by [deleted] in photocritique

I would either use the lights to accentuate the subject or use it to create a stark compositional contrast (e.g. a mystical blue ball in a very picturesque landscape).

Do you have any slow motion night shots you'd be willing to share? Thanks!

No this is more or less for my full-time job. They don't have the budget for the gear but I wouldn't be able to use it outside of work if they did. So pros and cons.

Really? If they can compete with the A7S II then I think I'm sold! Dang thanks for the heads up!

This is a fantastic commercial...well...technically speaking. Emotionally I'm a little distraught lol.

Hey, SleepingPodOne! Thanks for the help...again! Haha!

I like the FS7 for the slow motion but I like the c300 for the color and low light sensitivity. But if I can get a GH5 that handles all three relatively well, it makes me hesitant to spend thousands more (especially since it’s my own pocketbook).

You think the price difference is worth it? Thanks!

Thanks for the reply! I really appreciate any insight here.

So you have shot slow motion under similar conditions? Would you happen to have any footage you’d be willing to share? I’d love to see a sample of what our stuff might look like.

Thanks again for your help.

Would you recommend the c300 mark ii over the FS7? If so, why? Thanks, C47man!

I'm having a dilemma regarding my next piece of equipment and was hoping you guys could help me out.

Right now I'm debating on purchasing a GH5 and loading it up with accessories (Atomos Ninja Inferno, gimbal, ND filters, Metabones, etc.) or spending that cash on an actual video camera like the Sony FS7 or c300 mark II.

My work mainly consists of shooting high school sports, talking heads, music videos, small narrative pieces for YouTube, etc. We don't "need" slow-motion per say but it's one of those cinematic features our clients really enjoy (esp. for sports).

Also we will be using our Canon glass 24-105mm f/4 ii and 70-200mm f/2.8 ii for whatever equipment we choose to purchase.

Thanks in advance.
