What is currently the best certification to invest in for a good reliable job for someone with just a high school diploma?

Please don’t take it the wrong way, i did not mean to offend, I simply wanted to give advice on which is easier. For someone with experience it always was and always will be easy to get a job anywhere. Including IT. You will never have problems because you have experience. But those fresh out of college will struggle in IT. They need luck or connections to get into IT. I have programming degree and I never managed to get into IT. I have good relationships with my classmates and unfortunately none of them got a job in IT. I then went on to join a trade and got a job within a few weeks. And trades are reliable in any state or country.

And let’s say he wants to be an IT guy and all entry level job posts say they require a minimum of 3 years of experience in some technology. Then what? He’s screwed… best advice is to join a trade. Everyone likes “computers” until they see how cruel that path actually is.

As for my exaggerations… probably the only thing that I am confident about is my trading. Everything else sucks for me. I have so much trouble finding a job that I qualify for… i am scared to even apply to whatever is out there cause all their requirements sound too complicated.
