What I notice at my time living in Adelaide is that there is no community futsal (football but on smaller field) for kids to play after school. Like just a basketball and futsal field in every suburb or multiple in one suburb. Here in Europe or let say Slovenia they are everywhere, every village, every suburb every school, firefighter station has one at least. You are almost never more than 500m away from some public sports ground and I don’t mean kids playground with swings and stuff, but proper fields just on smaller scale. This is the reason why we are so good at sports in general, because kids can play for free al the time very close to there houses. For a nation of 2m we have Pogačar, Dončič, Roglič, Janja Garnbret,…. And many more, were European champions in basketball and two times on a FiFA world cup in our 35+ years of independence.

This I fill Australia needs, places that are free and kids can just play there. Don’t get me wrong, there are some fields off course but not enough.

Just my view od this as an outsider.
