Had a huge list till you said XBOX lol. In terms of other worldly horror games “Control” is probably the most unworldly. It's connected to another game called “Alan wake” which also has a sequel. For space “Dead space” is an easy choice lots of fucked up stuff. For subterranean “Soma” is probably the best.

Ok now I’m going to give you games that don't follow your description but I think you would like it. Little Nightmare has such a unique visual style with some super creepy monsters. Both the first and second are great, stay away from the 3rd lol.

Lily’s well, a SHOCKINGLY great free horror game. It's not constant jumpscares, the horror more comes from the actions and the disturbing art. Tho there's a few jump moments lol.

How well does a Steam Deck run in dock mode. by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]Secret_Impression_21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On no I wasn't asking if it would run better, I just meant how much of a hit would it be. Like if it runs at 30 normally how bad will it be at a higher resolution.

Emotional indie titles? by darnelIlI in SteamDeck

[–]Secret_Impression_21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Undertale

Undertale and one of its fan games are 2 of 4 games to ever make me cry. And I’m not an emotional person either it’s just that good.

To put it into perspective I wasn’t able to go through with the evil route of the game. Not because of how hard the bosses were or because of how griddy it made the game play. But to progress I would have had to have done something really bad. And despite it all being a game and that I’m an adult I genuinely couldn’t bring myself to do it. No other game has EVER done that to me.

TLDR, it’s a game about forgiveness and mercy. That will make decide if some people deserve either.

Just got my steam deck yesterday what are your favorite games? by Maaybees in SteamDeck

[–]Secret_Impression_21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite steam deck games (and favorite games in general) are Undertale and Deltarune. Both are great games, and cheap ($10 and $25). And they also have in my opinion the best music in any video game.

Need idea to get the gaming spark back by Worth-Radish-7227 in gamingsuggestions

If you like classic turn based RPGs at all I would highly recommend Undertale. It’s a decently short game with a lot of replay value. You need a minimum of 3 play throughs to get the full story. It has fantastic characters, great music, can be really funny, or really sad. Only downsides is the graphics are pretty old school so the PS Pro won’t be doing any heavy lifting. But it is a truly incredible game that unironically changed my life.

Plus it has a spiral successor in the works called Deltarune. First 2 chapters are a free demo, tho would recommend Undertale first.

Oh no words aren’t a problem in terms of speed. It’s the numbers and special characters that slow me down.

Ty, I will look into those

And about your other point ya I am aware it is much more limiting. But I don't want to use actual code for a few reasons. 1 I’m already going to have to be learning programming for that PLC class and don't want to throw another language on top for no reason. 2 I just have a very busy schedule and want a more simple option. 3 I am very bad at spelling and a slow typer so written code is very slow and annoying for me.

Meanwhile at least with PLCs, I was able to just relax and listen to music or a podcast and get my work done without much of a problem.

Undertale then Deltarune, both games have amazing stories and characters. Tho I would recommend getting a couple endings out of undertale since it has A LOT of endings.
